Good Games Hobart

This place is packed with gaming goods and room to play with your friends. Stopping through to pickup some things I definitely wish I could stay for longer as I’m on holiday down here. Didn’t catch the gentleman who served me but told me about gaming nights with other likeminded legends. Appreciate the welcome!

July 2022: Good Games is hidden in plain sight in a former restaurant on Brisbane Street. It has a great range of board games, many you would never have heard of before. They also stock diecast figurines, if that's your jam. Team are friendly and obviously into their games. Super geeky, but what else would you expect from a games shop. Give them a whirl!

It's been 3 years since my last review so I'd thought I'd update the review. Good Games Hobart has changed management and there is a big difference in the current revamped store. Plenty of table space at the back for games and has a wide variety of card and board games. Staff are very friendly and more than happy to help you find the game that you like.

A great selection of board games and knowledgeable staff. I didn't catch the guy's name, but the guy who helped me pick out a new family board game was very helpful in helping me make a good purchase. If you don't know what to get, just ask!

Purchased some games for Christmas. Got a free Gundam!!

We were first time customers today and was recommended Catan and we are now on our second game with no rage quitting. Good recommendation. Great shop.

Very helpful and friendly to new comers. My friend and I couldn't believe the customer service we got; Mike took spare time between customers to teach us how to play Magic, even setting us up with some beginner sets. We're hooked. Thankyou!

Knowledgeable staff with a great selection of games. Plenty of room to play in-store, with regular groups organising fun events. Attending group events is a great way to test games before buying them.
