The staff herw are wonderfully helpful and have everything you need, if they don't they work their butts of to accommodate.
Got all of our school books here and we will purchase here everytime in the future.

What a lovely spot this is in Hastings.I was looking for Australian board books for a baby gift and they had a nice mix. I also picked up some fun little science projects for the older kids in my world, and done ASAP for me. My partner went in the following day and found some bigger science projects and books for older kids too. Staff are friendly and helpful but don't pressure or pursue you. A very relaxed and fun shop.

Petersens bookshop has always been so helpful and friendly, always happy to order things in special for me if it wasn’t already on the shelf! Everyone is so friendly and kind and always up for a chat! I will never go to big chain book shops!

Natalie is a friendly and knowledgeable manager in her bookshop crammed full of a diverse range of books. Not only that, she's very supportive of local authors, so you should visit the shop and ask for books written by Aussies.

A great range of books for adults and children. Terrific puzzles, games and activity sets for children from people who really understand childhood development.

I have been shopping here, since I moved to the area almost 5 years ago and I was so happy to see a local bookstore, when I arrived! Always such friendly service and excellent product knowledge, which is almost absent in the larger retailers.

I went there to try and find a Bible and there was only 4 there. 2 the same 1 different and a child's bookstory. The Bible's were so small, not much bigger than a pack of cards .My main reason for wanting a new one was my eyesight is fading. The lady was very unhelpful unkind and told me to go online and order. I offered If she could order for me I would pay upfront. She shrugged her shoulders and basically didn't want to discuss anything anymore. I walked out of there very disappointed.
I Won't be going back again for anything. It's a very small store and the lady was unsympathetic that the Bible's she had were too small and no variety. She didn't offer help in anyway. Didn't care about my needs.
I went there hoping to support a small local business but looks like I'll have to go to the big business online now.
PS. I went to the Op Shop on the way home and picked up one for $0.50 big print.. Amen
