It is pretty busy during the weekend lunch time.

Food itself is not bad and cost-effective. Order-to-made sushi is recommended. Raw beef is a cold dish mated with shredded radish, yuzu sauce and mustard seeds.

It is worth to try if you don't know what's other nearby food options for meals.

Best sushi! We go 2-3 times a week, food is delicious and consistent. Yum.

For me it’s the best sushi on the GC. Fresh, delicious and a good variety. The only thing it is that is always super busy.

The restaurant was too busy, but it was worth the wait. If you want to eat on time, be sure to arrive early and take the number queue, the price is not cheap, but again, it is worth it.

Fresh, great tasting food, fast polite service and excellent value. I have frequented Sushi Honba for some years and the only downside is it has become so popular there can be a small wait time (max 15minutes) to be seated, however well worth the wait.

First time visit. Very busy and with good reason. Everything we tried was delicious. Service was friendly and quick and prices very reasonable. Definitely worth visiting. Definitely going back for more

Hands down the best and most consistent sushi quality in the Gold Coast.

Quick service, efficient, lots of sushi varieties, self-service mayo, teriyaki sauce, and pickled gingers on the table, and the place is always busy, weekdays or weekends. 5% discount if paying by cash.

This would have to be one of the best places to get sushi and fresh sashimi. The sushi is always freshly made, the service is always fast and on time and the value for money is exceptional.

Cost: $ - $$ ($3 plates all round You can’t go wrong!)

Location: easily accessible with heaps of surrounding car parks.

Busy hours: I would say any time between 11 - 3pm week days and ALL DAY on weekends.

I’d recommend going and waiting in line as its never a long Wait and people love just getting in there and filling up then moving on.

The best!! I used to get takeaway a lot here when I was living closer but go for dinner every now and then.
Always busy but don't have to wait too long as they don't take bookings for eating in. Friendly service, quick as well. Have never been disappointed and always satisfied.

Great food here. Lots of selection, fresh and tasty. There is often a wait here so best to arrive early and try to get a seat around the “train track” so you can pick your own food. Love the Karaage Chicken!
Good location but be aware there will be a wait during busy times especially for the a la carte orders. Worth the wait though in our opinion.

i love sushi train, but the only problem is it’s getting so expensive… with the average price per plate ranging around $4-$4.2 at most places now🥲but Sushi Honba decided to stay at the lowest price that i can find now with $3.8 per plate🤩but! does the cheap price mean lower quality?…

in this case absolutelyyyy not!!!🤤🤤the sushi here is actually so much fresher and better than many other sushi places i’ve been to!🥰🥳due to the constant line outside, the sushi is so fresh and basically made on the spot considering the fast turnover~

the sushi here is so delicious and they do not skimp out on giving you huge pieces! the rice balls and slices of seafood here were truly so much bigger and fresher!🤤🤍🤩

my favourite sushi’s are the plain ebi, tobiko, and ebi fry’s~✨🥰the sushi in the first picture was a unique and new one for us, cheese and mayo seared ebi, very interesting🤭🥳

i loved their booth seatings as well as their beautiful plates, a super pretty and comfortable location✨🍣

conclusion, i highly recommend @sushihonba and i’m so glad that there is at least one sushi place out there that still has reasonable prices because i truly cannot justify paying $4.20+ for a plate🥲🤣 even though they are in the Gold Coast, i will definitely be visiting them each time i am over there~🥳since they are so popular, on busy nights expect a 15-25 minute wait, they give you a buzzer so you can sit outside, time passes quickly if you go with a group and the quality of the sushi you eat is so worth it!🤤🥰i was super impressed and they definitely deserve a 5/5~

Remember to check-in at the counter for a queue number. The wait can be at least 30mins but it is definitely worth the wait i promise!

Best casual dining Japanese in GC. Hands down.
Salmon sashimi is a must, as is takoyaki.
Wish it was a bigger space, so we can get in without queues!

Honba has gone from being a hidden gem within Burleigh to having the best reputation in the gold coast when it comes to sushi.

As fresh as it gets and fair pricing, I'm so glad this place is still going strong I've been coming here for years and always recommending it when ever anyone asks if there's good sushi around.

One of the best around for sushi and very popular..most days there is a wait line but worth it ..better than Sushi train and costs around the same . The only real issue is the waiting to get in but if you are prepared to wait in the sun outside you should be ok

The best sushi I’ve had in a long time! Everything felt and taste so fresh, even though they were busy the food came out quickly. I ordered the Mix Sashimi salad and was impressed with the flavours of the dressing (bit spicy for some people), freshness of the fish. Keep up the good work. We will definitely come back

Always fresh and delicious!! We no longer live in Gold Coast but we always stop here when we are passing by. Best quick sushi I’ve ever had in Australia.
