Pandanus Caravan Park

Partner and I are travelling around Aus and stopped here for over a month. Would highly recommend the stay, the park is walking distance from the town, the park itself is neat and welcoming and Scott and Helen go above and beyond for their guests. Favourite part was pizza nights on Sundays giving an opportunity to mingle with the other guests in the park and eat delicious food!

We have been travelling in our caravan as a family for two months now and this is the first caravan park that we have stayed in that we actually never wanted to leave. We had booked for 4 nights originally and stayed nearly two weeks. The management were really friendly and did a great job of
Maintaining the grounds. The pool
Was great to cool off in. and is only a short walk not even 10minutes into town or to the beach definitely will be back again.

We had the best time staying here- we'd originally booked one night but ended up extending to 4 as we had such a great time. Helen and the team are so friendly and welcoming and the site amenities are spotlessly clean. Everything you could need is in walking distance with Port Douglas on your doorstep. (10-15 mins walk)

I'd recommend anyone visiting Cairns to get out of the city and spend their time in Port Douglas instead, its such a lovely town with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and just visiting for one day can't do it justice. 3 days to explore the Barrier Reef, Daintree and surrounding areas was spot on.

Would give this place 10 stars if I could, best we've stayed in two months of Australia...

We stayed for 4 nights with 2 camper trailers.
The team were extremely accommodating and friendly, going out of their way to make sure we had a good stay.
They gave great advice on trips to the GBR and Daintree.
The facilities were great, clean and tidy- including the bathrooms and the BBQ area.
They have a great pool and we had a blast at the pizza night on Sunday- which was a great way to meet new people.

This must be the best park in Australia because it is definitely the best park we have stayed in. Helen and Scott are the most wonderful hosts making us very welcome. We were there prior to and after the cyclone and I was so impressed with their management of the site and their tireless work to ensure everyone was safe. Our site was spacious and very shady to the point where we didn't need our awning. The amenities are clean and plentiful and the park is within walking distance of the beach and town. The pool is a great size and very clean and we had a wonderful stay with the kind and generous Scott and Helen.

It was very specials conditions when we arrived because we were stucked at Port Douglas because of the Jasper Cyclone but we were so lucky. Amenities are very useful and clean. Owners are so nice, very attentive and caring people. The staff is very professional and friendly. I'm grateful to have met people with such kindness. I recommend you this place, it's the best camping !

Excellent place to stay - Scott and other staff members were really friendly and made the effort to remember people's names and look after their guests.

They had great recommendations for nearby attractions and deals on 3 night stays and week long stays (with flexibility on these also)

Helen and Scott were extremely accommodating. We had car issues and Scott was extremely helpful and attentive and was able to put us in touch with the right people. The facilities were excellent and everything was very clean, wifi was included which was great. Thank you very much!

Definitely the best camping in queensland ! Helen and Scott are two amazing person, so welcoming and very helpful ! Thank you so much for your help during the cyclone and heavy rain, you were two angels for us this night !! The location is perfect near the marina and all the shops. Amenities are really good hot showers and always very clean ! Large camp kitchen and laundry very clean and tidy.
You have to stay in this camping if you plan to stop in Port Douglas ! Highly recommend.

We had a very enjoyable stay here, amenities were very clean and functional, the site is in a very good location and the couple who run the site are incredibly kind and welcoming, and made us feel very welcome as the only english visitors at the Australia Day barbecue at which we had a great time. Overall, if you are thinking whether to stop of in Cairns or Port Douglas to see the reef then I’d definitely recommend Port Douglas, as a backpacker who has done both, and Panadus is a fantastic place to stay while you are there!

Ultra clean facilities, great location. nice clean and cool pool, the grounds are well kept. the Managers are so friendly, so welcoming and so helpful!

Very clean and well-maintained campsite, very available, flexible and welcoming managers. We can feel that they do everything possible to ensure that their guests have a pleasant stay.

We stayed here for 1 night, and just randomly picked this camping. Best camping in Australia till this far. Very good facilities, clean amnities and a well equiped & clean kitchen. The man and wife running the camping are so nice and helpful. 5/5 for sure!

Fabulous caravan park, clean and tidy amenities, large shady sites with good size slabs. Helen and Shaun made us very welcome and were extremely helpful with all our enquiries and needs. Short easy walk to beach and town centre. Very reasonable rates, we stayed a week and loved it.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and loved the location, size of the sites (caravan), pool, garden and the lovely managers. Like all locations in FNQ the bugs can be an issue so make sure you used bug spray. Stunning as usual Port Douglas we love you.

Fantastic spot! Close to everything, great amenities, showers and toilets were nice and tidy, the pool was clean, lots of shade all around the park, and the staff was just incredible. Especially Helen, she’s an actual angel. Helped us book our snorkeling tours and was just on it with good vibes and recommendations. We will come back next time we’re visiting Port Douglas

A big thanks to Scott and Helen who not only keep an excellent facilitated, clean and tidy park but to going above and beyond with offers of help and kindness when I arrived with a broken wing 🦅.

This gorgeous park is right in the heart of Port, close to everything and the caring attitude and nature of management for their park and it’s occupants was the icing on my holiday cake. 5 star experiences like this bring you back again and again 🏝.

The nicest caravan park managers you could meet, helped us out with changing a flat tyre on our campervan, park is well looked after, plenty of room, central to town and best of all is very clean and tidy.
