Maylands Lodge is situated in a stunning, picturesque location, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings. The staff were exceptionally friendly, contributing to the warm and inviting atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic array of delicious options to choose from. The coffee, in particular, was exceptional! The architecture of the Maylands Lodge was truly remarkable, blending seamlessly with the natural beauty of the area. Overall, it was a memorable stay that exceeded all expectations.

Stayed here for our babymoon for a few days. The lodge is rich in its history. Great room as well. We booked the breakfast with our room which is really convenient so we don’t have to leave to early in the morning. Service here is also amazing. Would definitely recommend for any couple looking to escape city life 🫶🏻

Amazing stay! I loved the place. A touch of modern to a historical building. My room had a great view overlooking mountains. Nice breakfast with a perfect coffee made by a skilled barista. Can’t wait to go back.

What can we say about this place that unexpectedly stole our hearts? This was a beautiful house in its own right with a rich history of how it came to be, but our experience was made so much better by Bojan (who was unfailingly friendly and kind throughout our entire trip here) and the lovely room which was tastefully decorated and thoughtfully planned. We loved the bathroom, its heated flooring, frosted privacy glass door (which could be activated by a switch), modern bathtub and rainshower. Our room (room #1) also led straight out to the carpark so getting in and out was extremely convenient. Overall, one of the most amazing places we've ever stayed in.

A great place to stay if you're travelling to Hobart. We will definitely be staying there again. We stayed in the Hunter 2 bedroom suite it was quiet, spacious and comfortable and we slept so well. Views from the room were amazing as well.

Wonderful stay here with my husband. Absolutely beautiful building, rooms and gardens. The service was pleasant and prompt.

Great Indian restaurant that’s a five minute walk away, and Coles and their surrounding food stores/cafes/restaurants also within walking distance of less than 10 minutes.

Will definitely stay here again when visiting Hobart!!

Fantastic high tea at Maylands Lodge . The ambiance was elegant, the food exquisite, and the service impeccable. The tiered tray of scones, sandwiches, and desserts was a delight. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a refined and delightful tea experience.

This place is one of the best hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in! The historical building has been renovated to an immaculate standard. We stayed in the Hunter suite and found it to be extremely spacious and clean, with a lovely comfortable bed, private balcony/terrace and incredible bathroom with a walk in shower, huge tub and underfloor heating. The building has so much charm with little hidden gems to be discovered, like the reading nook and a look out with amazing views of the city. The manager, Jake, was so lovely and accommodating. We extended our stay by an extra night because we didn't want to leave! We will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and family travelling to Hobart, and hope to visit again.

Maylands lodge is one of the best places we have ever stayed at! Luxury, cleanliness and service are to the highest level. Quiet surrounds with free parking. I can easily say that the room was the cleanest and most comfortable and relaxing I have ever stayed at, complimented by gorgeous views and exceptionally well maintained gardens. It’s a real shame that there is no restaurant on the grounds to complete the very enjoyable experience. I cannot fault our stay there and I would highly recommend it to all my friends. I will most definitely be returning to The lodge next time we travel to TAS.

This place is phenomenal, it has a luxurious feel but also a vintage feel at the same time! They're receptionist is extremely friendly and nice (especially manager). Great rooms and fair prices with an enormous garden in the back with a water fountain out front. I would highly recommend this place and I really love it.

We had a lovely stay with Maylands lodge. The hotel provides a heritage boutique feel with modern furnishings. The breakfast was excellent and the coffee was delicious. The lodge also sits on top of a hill and provides a unique perspective of the Hobart hills. The service and staff were exceptional.

From the moment that we arrived we were looked after and made feel so welcome. The property is magnificent and has been renovated with such respect for the period. Rooms are beautifully appointed, spacious and the small details such as the styling, technology and lighting make it incredible. Food and coffee was delicious and nothing was too hard for the staff, Jesse looked after us and made our stay lovely.

Great experience in a historical building, nicely refurbished and finished with high quality materials. The room was spacious and bathroom was clean and modern.
Breakfast was superb with decent range of dish selections and staff was friendly, attentive and welcoming. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely go back when next time in Hobart.

This place is incredible, I would give it ten stars if I could. The building and grounds are beautiful and the room is just as beautiful with an amazing view. When we arrived we had the fire on for us. The location is great a few minutes drive to Salamanca place. A tasty breakfast was cooked for us every morning with a fresh coffee. The service was five star, thanks Jess for your kindness and helpfulness. Don’t want to check out.

We were recommended dinner here and it was the highlight of our trip to Hobart. The food is adventurous, complex and thoughtful. The chef’s tasting menu highlights Tasmanian produce and has modern Australian and Asian influences. Highly recommend if you want to try something different at
a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff and the hotel renovation is very impressive.

Maylands Lodge is an Amazing little boutique hotel with a historical feel, modern facilities and a great atmosphere. We were blown away by the fantastic staff, excellent customer service, and fabulous interior inside our room and in the common areas. The common areas showcase a bar and a little lounge with a dining area to sit and a wine cellar where guests can choose local wines. Every morning, one of our favourite parts was the delicious à la carte breakfast with a choice of sweet and savoury dishes ranging from Egg Benedict to porridge and muesli. The presentation and taste were just mind-blowing. We can’t wait to come back and stay at Maylands Lodge again.

The only thing that was not as good as the others where the pillows, as they are not so comfy. But it could be my personal preference.

Having breakfast cooked every morning and a proper coffee is a real treat. My favourite was the hot cakes.

The building is interesting to explore. Be sure to go up to the tower and use the lounge/bar. The gardens on the grounds are also very pretty and our toddler loved walking the paths and pointing out the colours of all the flowers.

The rooms simple and clean, very luscious carpet. Netflix was a handy and nice bonus to have.

This is the best place to stay EVER!!! The receptionist (especially manager) is so helpful, kind and friendly. They have a good view with massive backyard to chill in with very nice modern look on the inside but vintage on the out. This place also has great pricing and would definitely recommend this place!!

This place is beautiful, it is full of amazing pieces of art work. I didn't know where to look first, it is a visual treat.
Our room is spotless, spacious, has a massive bath tub , and an amazing view.

We had such a lovely stay here last week, the most beautiful room in the most beautiful building. Was definitely a luxury stay with lots of individual character. The staff were so lovely and helpful and we felt very welcomed. The breakfast was also delicious! Would definitely recommend. Quite far out of town but a lovely walk through the botanical gardens if you fancy a walk!
