Sanctuary House Resort Motel

We’ve been staying at Sanctuary House for years. First when our kids were little & we visited the Sanctuary etc then later without the kids when wineries, concerts & race meetings were the norm. Helen & Sam are the most amazing hosts; both are always so welcoming. Facilities are top notch, on site restaurant is beautiful & the courtesy bus (driven by Sam) is so very useful. Such peaceful surrounds; pool always nice after a hard day of losing our money at the races!! We will definitely be back as we have been year after year. Definitely a home away from home 🥰🥰

Clean rooms, nice sheets and towels.
Lovely ground and setting. Very quiet- off the street- great parking and easy access to rooms. Lots of lovely flowers and birds as well as a little hidden pond with water lilies.
The owner was welcoming and very helpful.
Would be more than happy to stay again and recommend to anyone.

We stayed there early January. Tranquil setting. Rooms /bed linen very clean. Registration was easy. Helen the Manager was very warm and friendly. The cooked breakfast was very good. We had dinner on Friday night. My sirloin steak was delicious.
The location was excellent. Close to Healesville Sanctuary. The town centre was a few minutes drive.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and return in the near future.

The rooms are slightly old and small but the location is very good and safe place to stay. Helen is very hospitable and friendly. She made sure we were comfortable and even though the restaurant was closed she went above and beyond to serve us a nice breakfast. I have stayed here in the last and will come back again just for the safety and homely environment.

We found our booking at the Caravan Park had not gone through for some reason and found ourselves looking for other accommodation at the very last minute. How lucky! They had a cancellation here and we had the most beautiful accommodation and fantastic dinner. The meals are five star plus. We were made so welcome when feeling very tired and flustered . The hosts really know the meaning of hospitality.
Because we are birders we could hardly believe our luck in being in such a beautiful garden with birds coming in to feed in front of our room. It was so peaceful and we enjoyed every minute. We would love to return and really can't recommend this place highly enough.

We stayed for a family wedding. It was an ideal place to stay. Neat, clean rooms, beautiful, calm and peaceful area and the most warm and welcoming people run the Motel. We will absolutely stay again next time we're in the area.

Great value for money. Wonderful warm customer service despite running on a skeleton crew, great rooms, good food. :)

Easy 10 minute walk to Healsville Sanctuary.

We were a bit worried about staying at a motel, since we took public transport, but the walk to Sanctuary House was fine. :) If you are taking public transport, we recommend you stop at the Healsville Sanctuary bus stop, and walk from there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, food was to die for especially the home made ice cream. Service was fantastic, children were a bit unsure but easily settled in when offered special 'jungle juice' the kind that Tarzan drinks. My children tell me it was amazing.

Had a dinner there with a large number of people, never fails to impress me with great food and wine selection.
My wife and I had our 25th wedding anniversary there, we have now been married 41 years.

A hidden gem in Badger Creek, the restaurant here is amazing! I have never stayed in the motel (I'm a local) but their restaurant is one of my favourites! Lovely chilled atmosphere, the owners and staff are just sweethearts, and the food is divine! I had the chicken parmigiana and the Jungle Juice

For a 3-star motel this really exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the family unit, which was comfortable and clean. It was very private, exactly what we were after. Helen and all other staff were lovely. The food was great at the onsite restaurant. We would definitely recommend :)

Helen and her team were extremely courteous and welcoming when a group of us stayed recently. Rooms in excellent condition - nice and warm with 4 degree! temperatures outside. Helen made sure our stay was extra comfortable. Highly recommend staying at Sanctuary House - beautiful fresh clean air and lovely surrounds. Go to food - homemade gnocci at the fantastic restaurant !

I’ve stayed here four times because it’s wonderful. Only a five minute drive from the wonderful Healesville in a quiet bush setting. Absolute peace and quiet with only bird song to listen to.
Rooms are wonderfully clean, beds are extremely comfortable, shower is awesome and the restaurant is lovely old school service with lovely food.
I can’t recommend this place enough.
The staff are lovely and very accommodating and the breakfast is extremely good value.
I LOVE staying here.

I recently spent a three night stay at this lovely place. I was with a group of writing buddies and we had the best time. I loved my room, clean and inviting. Helen and Sam are delightful hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Loved the brekky each morning. Thanks Sam :~))

A wonderful weekend getaway with my daughter. Couldn't have asked for nicer Hosts in Helen and Sam. Very comfortable room. The restaurant and food is out of this world..I don't generally eat desert but OMG the Lemonchella was astonishing. 100% recommend the resort and we will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Sanctuary House Resort Motel for two nights with friends. We had a room with a spa bath which was lovely. The room was very clean, and amenities were all great. For the price it is excellent value. It is a little further out of town - approx 40 minute walk to the main street which is excellent if you want a quite stay, but also still be close to the action. It also has a lovely pool to use. It is nestled amongst bushland and has awesome sounds of wildlife
