My multiple visits to this temple of taste have confirmed its unwavering excellence. Wonderful family lunch experience!

Unobtrusive, knowledgeable and personable service. Good communication with a couple of dietary requirements, the staff took the time to talk through the options with us. We all loved the food, it was delicious as well as inventive and filling!

My dad was particularly happy with the risotto, he said it's the first time he's had a restaurant risotto arrive at the table still at temp while being perfectly cooked.

Starters, mains, and desserts are all delectable! We were a table of seven - ordering, pacing and beverage service/top ups all on point. Good selection of non-alc cocktails which we were pleasantly surprised by. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Also recommend popping into the cellar door before your lunch and grabbing a tasting or a couple of glasses of wine - we sat out on the patio and enjoyed some wine while overlooking the pond, it was a lovely way to start the day!

I naïvely stumbled into the restaurant without a booking - the staff were kind enough to accomodate me (unaware of the decadence of the venue, underdressed).

Tarra Warra is one of my favourite restaurants and wineries. The winery grounds are elegant and tasteful, as is the food. Farm to table freshness with thoughtfully planned seasonal menus. I recommend the 4 course menu with the wine pairing. The Buxton trout consomme was my favourite dish, so fresh and delicious with a light smoky flavour. I’m always excited to return for another amazing meal.

Visited TarraWarrra with my partner for our anniversary. The waiter's at the resturant were incredibly friendly, service was impeccable and the food was phenomenal. Didn't like how many tourists were there though they ruined the scenery a bit.

TarraWarra never fails to deliver. Beautiful grounds, great wines and an Art Gallery - what more could you want? I couldn't think of a better place to take visitors to Melbourne. You can choose your own adventure - high end dining, relaxed snacks, wine tasting, art gallery or just taking in the views.

It was our first time eating in the restaurant and it lived up to the hype and hat. It's a multi course set menu and I chose the paired drinks menu which was worth it. Vegetarians are well catered for and there was a bit of flexibility/options where there were also vegetarian dishes on the main menu.
Each dish was a delight, beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The dishes were obviously thoughtfully put together and I loved the amazing mix of textures and flavours each bite delivered, especially the duck.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

If you're looking for something more relaxed, then the outdoor area under the peppercorn trees with it's beautiful views is the perfect place to sit, taste some wines and eat from the cellar menu. I didn't check the menu this visit but typically it's snacks or salads, great for a light lunch.
We had a post lunch drink out here and soaked in the sun, views and the birds flitting around the trees.

Don't forget to check out the gallery. It does cost to see the exhibitions (there are some deals on a Wednesday) but they are usually well worth it.

Always stunning food and a wonderful space and view. Menu was fresh and had great depth of flavour. Its so nice going to a place with a well thought out standard plant based menu, rather than getting something cobbled together.
This has become an annual birthday treat for us and it never disappoints.
Highlights were the macadamia relish(?) 🤩 and the dessert was so refreshing with a perfectly balanced sweet, sour and fragrant elements.

Excellent location to celebrate an occasion with you family. A great fine dining experience. The four course menu was well thought out. The bread and the pumpkin butter was a unique positive experience. The entrees were really nice. The main had mix of flavours bitterness and sweetness. Slightly larger mains portion would have been better. The dessert was excellent very well balanced with saulted caramel tart with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Overall an excellent lunch. Highly recommend it. You will need to book for a seating a few weeks before the date. The restaurant gets booked out pretty often.☺

What an absolutely breathtaking experience.
I booked the 4 course dinner at Tarrawarra Estate as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
From start to finish, we were both just blown away by the service, the atmosphere, the building, the interiors and, of course, the food and wine!!
The appetisers upon arrival, along with the focaccia, were both just divine. The trout consommé was so beautifully fresh and the perfect way to begin the amazing food journey that was to follow. We were both so amazed the richness and complexity of flavours in the mushroom cavatelli, but the highlight for us was the duck. You know a dish is perfect when you both sit in silence just enjoying it without needing any words.
I absolutely loved the macadamia tart and my partner had the selection of cheeses which he thoroughly enjoyed.
A beautiful touch was the gorgeous little birthday cake that was bought over at the end, which was such a lovely way to end an already superb evening.
We were also lucky enough to have the head chef, Joel, come over to our table and speak with us which gave us the opportunity to thank him for creating such amazing food.
To make it even more special, we were told that this was the first dinner they were hosting as the 4 courses, and we were one of the first to book.

We had an amazing tasting with the fabulous Hannah, who was very knowledgeable and charming. Looking at wines from different vintages gives such a great insight into how well these wines can age. An amazing experience in such a beautiful Cellar Door and setting.

Beautiful location, perfect for kids with loads of grassy hills to keep them occupied whilst you delight in some wine 🍷 and snacks. We were late so a quick wine tasting for us but we will be back! I recommend signing up to their loyalty program for a year as 20% off wine and free wine tasting for you and friends. Pretty good deal.

The food is fantastic with gorgeous view. The lamp backstrap is tender, not raw/overcooked. I love the tart - sweet but not greasy. The chef prepared a surprise - nice tiny sweet birthday cake as finish. One of the best winery restaurants I have been. Definitely will go back again.

The food was great, just hope the portions are bigger.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our four-course meal on January 1 was beautiful, every course was well-planned, executed and wonderfully presented. Lots of non-alcoholic options and small glasses of wine for the designated driver. The service was great as well.
I was pleased that I was able to surprise my family with such a highlight at the start of the year. It was too hot to explore the grounds in depth, but we had a pleasant and inspiring visit to the museum. Definitely worth coming back.

Decor, architecture and ambiance was on point - super cosy with a fireplace in their dining room too!

We were super impressed by the cleverly designed menu, incorporating delicious local produce. Our meals were works of art, bursting with flavours and hidden layers that pack a punch! Much thanks to the talented chefs and team for an expertly executed experience, perfectly complemented by Tarrawarra wines, impeccable service and a stunning location with fabulous views.

My absolute new Yarra Valley favourite place! The food was amazing. A few of us had the paired wine experience! I highly recommend this option. Maybe Uber there and back so your party can all enjoy this. The staff were very knowledgeable and very accomplished in customer service. To really experience TarraWarra a visit to the art gallery before your meal absolutely enhanced our experience. We are very much looking forward to our next visit,

Had a lovely day yesterday at Tarrawarra Estate. We started early with the wine tasting, which we found very enjoyable, then had the 4-course afterwards. I was trying to limit my alcohol intake yesterday but the meal would have been more perfect if I had it with the wine pairing eh. The Museum we visited last but it was a good way to spend the afternoon as the natural light gets through the museum perfectly at this time of the day. We'll definitely visit again for our fave wine selection.
