We haven't had a chance to visit when the museum opens so we can give a review regarding the external area only.

It was a great scenic spot to chill out for get away trip. The best time to visit would be around the autumn season as they have few nice areas with yellow autumn leaves plants. I guess other seasons like spring are also good with leafy pathways and a big pond in the middle.

It gives a calm and peaceful feeling when walking or sitting around in the area.

Immaculate grounds. Contemporary museum. Looking forward to seeing the extension completed and returning for a lunch at the restaurant.
Great day out

Tarrawarra museum is an excellent spot to catch an art exhibition. I've visited a few exhibitions of contemporary art and they were spectacular.

The vineyards and trees outside at Tarrawarra estate offer some stunning views especially during autumn and makes for a great spot to enjoy the peace and quiet. Sunsets here are quite picturesque. There are couple of restaurants offering food and wine tasting that makes for a perfect half day trip.

Magnificent view. There's a restaurant on top of the hill next to the museum but you can also just order a cup of coffee and enjoy the view.

Stopped for a look at the art and a glass of wine. The deck is lovely and the deck menu plate of the day was fresh and delicious.

This place is stunning!! the grounds are so beautiful to take a walk in before or after having lunch in the restaurant. At the entrance there’s an art instalment that looks like a decrepit building but when you go inside it’s something else. There’s a beautiful pond that looks like it’s straight out of a Monet painting with lily pads and willow trees. The gallery itself is also beautiful. I 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to do a day trip or visiting the area :)

The aboriginal art exhibition was marvellous. Besides, the location and the scenery is breathtaking. Next time,I'm going to book a seat at the restaurant to enjoy the view over lunch.

Second or maybe third time been here. I love the colour of trees in autumn.
One of the most beautiful wineries in the Yarra Valley area.

Lovely day at the TarraWarra Museum of Art. Interesting Peter Booth exhibition. Day was made even better by having coffee on a terrace under trees looking out over the valley below. Stunning bird life including watching New Holland Honeyeaters feeding on wattle, listening to Bellbirds in the distance and seeing two Wedge Tail Eagles (maybe Kites) soar above.

The view is amazing! Didn’t try the wine, but we did visit the museum. Tickets were $15pp, not too much to see inside, but some of the prints were pretty interesting.

A well designed and landscaped vineyard, restaurant and museum. The museum has rotating displays featuring different artists.

The ground is beautiful in autumn colours when I last visited. Outdoor seating on timber deck among trees with views to lily ponds, vineyard are relaxing indeed.

Wonderful views both inside and out, definitely worth a visit. Best to book ahead for meals in the area, particularly on weekends.

Accessibility options available or drivers can drop passengers at the entrance level before parking in carpark.

It’s a small museum but had interesting pieces. The walk up the hill had a lovely view of the lake and trees

Great venue nestled in the Yarra Valley. We went there without researching which artist was on display, worth doing beforehand. Otherwise this is a great place to go, with the added benefit of TarrawRra Estate winery metres away.

TarraWarra has such a scenic outdoors - lots of rolling hills

It is a easy train 🚉 & bus 🚍 ride from Melbourne

Although it does take 1hr 40mins - 2hrs to get there or back home 🏡

Such a beautiful gallery it's always worth a trip. It's about an hour and a quarter drive from Melbourne or you can get public transport. The exhibitions are fabulous and the grounds and buildings are spectacular. You can get a meal at the restaurant or a more casual bite to eat and coffee at the food trucks. I highly recommend a visit

This amazing gallery will delight both inside and out . The collection is unique and complemented by visiting shows. A commitment to indigenous artists is evident. Make sure you have time to walk the grounds and bring a picnic rug if you can. Food and wine available from the gallery cafe.
