Betty's Red Star Cafe

This was our first visit to Betty's, and I'm glad we went. Great friendly service with good reasonably priced food and coffee. The stand out was the baked eggs, baked beans and chorizo. Amazing decor just has to be seen, so just go.

What an awesome little Cafe in the heart of Ballarat. From the warmest of greetings from when you 1st walked in . Too the retro decor ( just awesome) great coffee and the Ham and Cheese toastie was just the best . Do your self a favour and pop in for a visit .

Cheesecake and slices to die for, and a nice hot chocolate. Good 60s diner aesthetic inside. Friendly staff. Would go there again

Top class customer service. Friendly counter staff offered to customise my toasties and also offered fresh coffee when I asked for takeaway cup for coffee leftover.

So comfortable that we were reluctant to leave, friendly feeling and super helpful staff. Small menu, but that's good, didn't do your head in trying to choose. The tea pot was awesome, sipped through 3 cups, coffee was barista beautiful

stumbled into this place as a last minute lunch and our group of 9 could not fault it. Everything was fresh, tasty and served with a smile. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be recommending Betty’s. Stop in if you can, it’s delish!

Small menu but great tasting food. Fast friendly service. Kids enjoyed the milkshakes and spiders.

A fabulous place for lunch. Went with 2 friends, we all had the pumpkinand cashew soup and it was fabulous. Lovely big bowl with the offer of bits and pieces with it. Bacon pieces, sour cream and cheese. Served with toast soldier. Big pot of tea and another pot of hot water. Will be returning often.

I found Betty's Red Star Café, with my NDIS participant. We have been visiting a new café every week. Once visited Betty's, my participant does not want to go anywhere else!

I have visited most cafés in Ballarat and never have they matched Betty's in customer service, quality of coffee/food. All three in a business is truly rare and amazing to observe.

Betty's slices/cakes are all homemade. The carrot cake is the best I have ever had in my life. It is moist and delicious.

You can tell the staff/business is oozing diversity. It will not matter what your background is, you will be welcomed and is very much a deciding factor if I choose to return.

We stumbled across this little gem on a cold Ballarat winters morning and were instantly warmed by the welcome, the great coffee and the excellent breakfast. Great BLT and delicious brekky burrito, attentive and smiling staff and excellent coffee. We will be back.

Breakfast burrito was amazing. I had mushrooms and my partner had chorizo, both were delicious.
Lemon slice is also really good.
Great customer service, friendly fun staff.

Absolutely love it here, great food, good coffee and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Every time I come to Ballarat I get breakfast here now. Great little business.

Managed to get here on opening day, but it feels like it's been there forever. Breakfast burrito was like a parcel of Mexican tapas, with some sort of chutney and chorizo crisped up so it crunches a little bit. Very friendly to dietary needs, and the coffee is smooth and rich.

On my first visit this morning, I was welcomed by polite, friendly staff, in a pleasant environment. My espresso double- shot tasted nice, and was reasonably priced, and I was offered water along with it, which I appreciated.

Came in for breakfast and got a brekky burrito and it was amazing!!! The best brekky wrap I’ve had in Ballarat so filling and just all round delicious. 110% would recommend betty’s
