Yellow Espresso

Yellow Espresso was a wonderful cafe I don't regret visiting during my stay in Ballarat. The staff were so kind and welcoming, the food was really nicely prepared, I ordered the Chilli baked eggs with a side of chips, and a matcha latte. The atmosphere was really vibey with everyone just having a nice time. I highly recommend checking this place out if you need somewhere for a quick coffee or brunch, maybe even lunch.

Coffee was so good that I ordered an extra one to go after eating in. Breaky panini was on point, great kids options too.

Stopped by yesterday and was impressed, friendly staff and excellent coffee. We sat outside (had our dog with us ) and enjoyed coffee and a Danish, all top quality. While we were there a new deck area was being built out front, looking forward to seeing it finished.

Wonderful cafe located right in the middle of town. Great service and excellent food and superb coffee. Bright modern space.
The menu has some lovely variations on the standard breakfast offerings. Loved the St Kilda eggs, and the Yellow scrambled eggs were amazing!

Driving back home from Daylesford, we decided to stop at Ballarat for brunch and stumbled upon this lovely find.
Staff were friendly and attentive despite the place being packed.
We ordered coffees and the liquid passion smoothie - all bevvies were amazing!
The food was where it’s really at. Everything was delicious. We had the spicy baked eggs, chilli scrambled eggs, breakkie panini, and ham and cheese croissant. The baked eggs and chilli scrambled eggs were out of this world! I also got another takeaway coffee to go and they brought it out with great service.
We will be back the next time we’re around.

Get the chilli scrambled egg!!!! I don’t eat egg usually and my partner got it, my goodness it was absolutely delish! Very good spice level, beautiful flavours and perfect serve. Coffee is good too, if you get the chance to breakfast here, do it.

One of the few cafes open at 08:00 Saturday in Ballarat. I hit the jackpot with this one. Chilli eggs were surprisingly delicious (note the peanuts!). Fresh juice, amazing coffee, and well staffed. Well done to the owner who runs a great all-round business!

Cute cafe with great food, coffee and service. Went here on a Sunday morning, very popular but we walked up at the right time and managed to get the last table available. I recommend sitting outside as it offers a really nice experience. Almond flat white and soy cappuccino were really good and the two egg dishes we ordered were quite large serves, super fresh and tasted great.

Birthday boy request this morning for a milk shake at Yellow Espresso...
To his surprise, it was followed by one of their delicious cupcakes. Great way to start a birthday 🎂

A great place to visit for a great breaky after a bike ride. A few loops around the lake then a cruise down the main strip I arrived at YE. My Acai bowl was great and my mocha as well. Will def visit again next time I'm in Ballarat

What a great place for breakfast in Ballarat. I had the scrambled eggs with pecorino, truffle oil and bacon (it was a toss up with smoked salmon) on sourdough toast and an almond mocha. What an entirely delightful experience. Tip: ask for extra butter to smother the remaining toast 😃 Phenomenal quality and friendly service

Great variety of food including vegan and vegetarian. I sat outside with my dog and they rushed out a water bowl without my needing to ask.

Subtlty at play. From the decor to the pleasant staff to the way the ingredients are pulled together, this was a very enjoyable (allday) breakfast.
A slight wait for a table, which was already a good sign of popularity, but we were seated within 5 minutes. Fast service, pleasant smiling staff and two dishes that just worked. From the subtle but delicious bbq sauce in the panini to the subtle minty feta avocado on toast. We were two, very pleasantly surprised out-of-town customers.

My partner had the chilli eggs & I had the eggs Benedict, we both enjoyed our meals immensely! The chilli eggs were particularly impressive, I’ll get it next time we’re there! The coffees tasted great but were a little weaker than we usually like but the extra shot made a difference. The staff were also lovely, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

This is the place we go to when we travel to Ballarat. Get in early as this place gets busy and it’s hard to get a table inside. I love the breakfast menu and they also serve axil coffee.
