Otway Herbs

Really loved the garden. Well designed and productive. They have a great collection of flowers, vegetables and exotic plants. The owner (sorry forgot the name) was very kind to share his story about the place. Found some rare plants. One of those was Egyptian Walking Onion or Tree Onion. And the price is very reasonable as well. Highly recommend this place.

Sadly didn't get to meet the horrible dog...

Did however have an amazing experience with Ken and Judi. Take the journey off the GOR to tour this little gem. Please. It really is worth the drive, as is the trek. Beautiful scenery, absolutely phenomenal.
Into the herb garden itself? Judi knew everything there was to know and was exceedingly helpful. Prices were quite reasonable and their customer service was wonderful. Treated us like family and I wish them all the best.

Recently visited the Otway Herb gardens. We were greeted by a very friendly dog and Ken.
The farm is fabulous, with a great selection of herbs, plants and trees.
Amazing wealth of knowledge, very generous with time. It was a wonderful afternoon just walking through the gardens, smelling flowers and herbs.
Worth the visit

We were unsure what to expect as we drove up the long and winding track to Judi and Ken's Herb Garden but we were not disappointed.

Ken charmed us with his knowledge of herbs having appeared out of the blue.

It would have been great to meet Judi and the famous family dog, but sadly it wasn't to be.

Definately pay this place a visit if you get chance!

Ken and Judi blew us away with their welcoming vibe to complete strangers coming onto their piece of paradise. The landscape they had recreated with the time and knowledge was awe inspiring to behold. Make sure when you go there you ask Ken about the trees.

Their eftpos machine was playing up so they gave us their bank details and trusted us to transfer which I thought was very kind. I was also able to get some interesting plants that are now growing terrifically in my garden.
Would definitely recommend visiting for a look around.

Very knowledgeable, friendly and worth the drive.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Absolute waste of time and fuel! First impression was the property(especially the greenhouse) looked over run with vines, and the plants in the actual greenhouse looked half dead. Did not even get to get out of the car as I was yelled at where to park, then tried to back up out of their drive way because I wasn’t spending money or wasting time somewhere where the owners are rude. And the man proceeded to then yell at me about ruining his drive way trying to get out. Then he proceeded to give me and my mum more attitude and told us to go further up their driveway and go out that way. Disappointed to say the least!!!

When we arrived we got our dog out of the car as the setup was similar to a nursery where dogs are normally allowed. As soon as we got her out of the car the owners dog charged at our dog and attacked. Luckily we reacted quick enough for our dog to avoid injury. After hearing our screams of terror the owner came over and said: oh yeah, better not let ya dog out of the car. He didnt bother to apologise or see if we were ok. Very disappointing and scary experience. Would not recommend this place as it is too dangerous for dogs and kids to visit.
