YHA Apollo Bay Eco

The best hostel for the value I've stayed at in Australia. There are two things that really stand out to me: Spacious rooms and the amenities (there is not just one but two kitchens; plenty of common areas with comfortable seating). Great facilities in general, well maintained and very clean. Loved the adjustable shower heads. One thing to wish for would be a little shelf and power outlet next to the bed.

Spacious, clean and comfortable, with 2 large kitchens, several large common areas and free parking. 1 block from restaurant row along the water, with 2 big supermarkets within 5 min walking. Excellent for both solo travelers and families.

Great hostel overall. Fabulous kitchen facilities and a fun games room. Really nice location, a quick walk from the coast and all the pubs and eateries. The room was overall fine, had nice big storage lockers but there were some issues.
1. Virtually no power outlets available in the room
2. The bunk beds beds were really creaky
3. The padlock hole in the locker was too big and anyone could pull my lock straight through to gain access.

Honestly way better than anything I have stayed into. The hostel has a nice chill vibe, so everything is pretty quiet.
Facilites are not only beautiful but in great condition.
The hostel is always super clean and this helps people to keep it that way.
Bedrooms were big enough as easy to ventilate.
Really good value for money. I hope they do not pum the prices up.
People who work in there are east going, kind, understanding and helpful.
In addition the hostel has an award for its sustainable design and operations.
There are work spaces, movie room, a library with books and table games, two kitchen, bbq area and a pool table.

Best hostel I‘ve ever been! Great location and interior, really clean kitchens and rooms, a lot of space for chilling out, very helpful and friendly staff!

Absolutely perfect backpackers, cannot fault. Comfortable rooms, extremely clean and tidy, wonderful kitchen facilities, hot & fresh showers. Friendly staff. Wonderful location. Free parking. Just incredible.

I recently stayed at YHA Apollo Bay Eco as part of a tourism course excursion trip. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice and neat condition. It completely took away my typical perception of hostels being dirty, smelly and not safe. Although it was just a one-night stay, we had a comfortable stay. The property also has great amenities such as charging stations, communal kitchen and games room. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Apollo Bay.

Lovely clean modern and chilled hostel. Lovely shared areas, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds. Lots of helpful tourist info. Really enjoyed my stay here

I love staying at YHA hostels and this one is by far the best one I’ve stayed at in all my years travelling!
Super modern but very in tune with nature.
Extremely clean and well maintained with kind, friendly helpful staff.

Very friendly staff, neat rooms and renovated bathrooms and social areas. It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay for us. You just have to keep on mind that there's no private bathroom in case you are looking for more privacy as this is still hostel 🙂

After 2 months in Australia this was the nicest hostel we’ve stayed in!

Clean bathrooms and a super clean kitchen with every utensil you could ever want (even had wine glasses, egg cups, chopsticks, etc). Nice lounge area, Fantastic location and decent wifi!

100% would recommend.

Would definitely recommend for anyone on a budget. Great facilities, newly renovated toilets and very clean rooms. We were here in winter and the staff were great with making sure everything was warm and toasty for us. Very convenient location too, walking distance to the main stretch of stores. Only thing is the hot water takes awhile as the place uses solar panels for heating, but there were signs in the bathroom to let us know so we weren’t completely taken by surprise.

Best hostel I have ever stayed at. We stayed in a double room and even got a balcony. Facilities were modern and clean, there is lots of seating areas as well as a separate tv room. Check in and check out was easy. Definitely coming back in the future.

The hostel itself was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in, very comfortable communal areas, beds were comfortable and rooms spacious enough, it felt like a home away from home. The staff were also super friendly upon check in. Have recommended this hostel to many people since my stay.
