I recently stayed at the Recreation Reserve over the weekend and had a fantastic experience. The amenities were top-notch, providing the perfect relaxation after a long day of touring. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and I'm definitely considering coming back in the future. Highly recommended for a rejuvenating getaway!

Thoroughly enjoyed the backdrop to our tent site was a quiet river and a herd of grazing cows. Something to look at when you open up your tent in the morning! The campsite facilities were dated but clean. Only two barbecues for the entire campsite, one of which didn't work...

My partner are I booked her last minute on the day with some help. Lovely spot, quiet and right on the river. Lovely clean showers and toilets. Just a 5 min walk to the back beach.

They were very friendly, gave us tips where to see koalas and it was a good price for just a stay without electricity/water. I can recommend the camping ground !

Nice van park. Close to a beach. Decent facilities. Friendly owners?/caretakers?
Our dog was being a little psycho so we left early but would definitely stay again - minus dog...

Long weekend camp with the family on a wet, muddy and cold days as expected. Don’t ask me why but it was fun and not our first time as well. Set up our tents on a lush lawns while raining, had our small dogs with us since it’s a dog friendly place. Then it became muddy as we kept walking up and down on the watery lawns.

This campsite is along the Bahram river with plenty of outdoor activities. We did kayaking on the river across and under the bridge, fishing across the road and onto the beach we cast a line, walked, ran, swam and simply sat on the camping chair to watch the water. The campsite has friendly staff and a special mention to Chris who has been an amazing attendant to all my silly queries. Facilities include bbq and kitchen, toilet and bathrooms are decent, clean and bright (not yucky), coin laundry and outdoor washing area. Very happy with our stay and will recommend to our friends.

It is about 15 min walk to the jetty and break water if you want to go hard fishing. There is a seafood restaurant close-by which was awesome but ran out of oysters which I came for! It’s an informal outdoor setting but decent dining overlooking the bay. The town have strips of shops and park across the road with playground and bbq for family. But it was so packed and busy had to past it as there was no parking anymore.

Good but not for someone who likes to camp surrounded by nature and forest. This is more like a caravan park. The facility is fantastic but not to my taste.

Had a great time. Beautiful spot, by the river and the beach and a short walk to town. Decent amenities, nothing flash but everything you need. Very friendly fellow campers too. Will be back.

Absolutely amazing. We got here on a bad situation to a fully booked park but the manager of the park was compassionate and found us not 1 but 2 sites so we could get ourselves sorted. Can't say thank you enough for your kindness.

Best caravan park I have stayed at hands down! Originally only came here to use the showers but ended up staying the night. The staff were wonderful. Our campsite was very small but the grass was lush and the perfect size for our van and annex.
We were lucky enough to overlook the river and surrounding paddocks with baby cows and sheep grazing away. There was a koala in the tree nearby and plenty of bird life. Facilities were good, not sure if there was a camp kitchen though?
The small IGA is about a 17min walk away.
I would 100% recommend this place and happily stay here again in the future.

We loved it all the way .It was our second year there and to be honest it was a last minute decision..Everything was clean and the staff so polite and there was hot water plenty compared to other parks .From now on will be our destination for longer stays.
Thank you🙂

A wonderful site! People are very friendly and the bathrooms are clean with hot showers! There’s also coin laundry if you need to do that. We were on a powered site with a view to the valley and mountains on the morning. This site is right around the corner from the Apollo bay which includes so many places to eat and some Aussie shops. 5/5!

Amazing place well worth the visit. Grab a creekside camp-site and try and see a platypus.

It was my very first time of camping. Apollo Bay is beautiful and this free camp site has enough toilets, electricity, water usage in every corner and the best hot water in the baths. They all clean. I think its the best if your stop is Apollo Bay. Also beach is just walking distance, you can catch some fish if you are as lucky as the fisherman uncle( he is sitting on the small pier). Do not hesitate before you come.!!

This place was perfect! We simply needed a place to safely pitch a tent during our road trip along the beautiful coast of Southern Australia. It was well worth every bit of $25! Anyone giving a negative review is completely missing the point of traveling to see the beautiful coast, stopping for a bite to eat in quaint towns with the most friendly, welcoming locals and taking the time to embrace life's simple pleasures. Stick to your hotel rooms with pools and televisions because that's where your negativity belongs. Nobody wants your bad vibes around anyway.

Easy online booking, great communication before and during stay. Stayed 3 nights at a riverside site and in that timr saw koalas and caught fish from right by the tent.

This is a great place to stay if you don't need all the bells and whistles. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The amenities are nice and clean. A short walk across the road leads down to the beautiful beach. You can also take a walk into the main town area. We will certainly be back again. It's a great place to base yourself to explore the Great Ocean Rd and the Otways.

I've stayed there for 1 night, we booked in the last minute and the women was very friendly. The spot is amazing near the river and the beach. The showers work well with hot water and there is also a small camp kitchen very helpful. Thank for having us!x

So helpful and friendly. Great little spot close to the beach and short drive to main street and off road track. Showers were great too, and dog friendly 💛
