Marriner's Lookout

Must visit lookout when your road trip to great ocean road. It's a private property. And it's just 400-600m walk to top of the lookout and you will see whole Apollo Bay from there. And you can spot some birds too. Don't forget to visit this place.

For anyone passing through the Great Ocean Road, don't miss Marriner's Lookout! It's the highest point in Apollo Bay, offering panoramic views of the entire town, the Great Ocean Road, and the coastline beyond. There's free parking, but spaces are limited. It's especially beautiful in the evening for sunset views. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes, as the gravel path can get a bit slippery from mountain spring water.👟

Great lookout! Definitely worth going!
You drive up a steep road, there’s parking and then you walk around 5 minutes up a steep trail. It really doesn’t take long and you get basically a 180 view.
It’s high up so you can see for miles and miles.

Beautiful look out. Steep 10 minute hike up a dirt path which was, in parts, wet/muddy.
The rainforest-esqe environment was beautiful to see. I loved it.
at the top, the scenery was exquisite. We got many group photos.

There are not many Victorian lookout points with a view as accessible and brilliantly vast as this one 👌

Highly recommended to visit this viewpoint to look at the panorama of Apollo Bay. It’s is stunning during day time. There is parking available nearby and you have to walk up a steep slope trial about 10 minutes to get to the view point.

Go for sunrise. Be aware there's a 300m walk at the end, so if you are shooting for sunrise, add a few extra minutes.

This location offers an absolutely breathtaking view of Apolo Bay. It's truly remarkable that the owner generously shares this private spot with tourists. We should feel grateful for the opportunity to experience such a magnificent setting.

A very easy short walk to a great view. Very worth it if you are already in Apollo Bay. Make sure to get the timing right for golden hour.

but you have to walk for a good more then 10 min uphill walk after parking.

Love this lookout that donated by private family! Thanks to their contribution so we all can enjoy such a nice hike and beautiful view. 10 mins hike from the parking area you can enjoy the breathtaking view of Apollo city and the whole costal area leading to Lorne. Enjoy so much of the view and the wind… the walk up greeted by beautiful grown trees and lush of green. Came here in winter time and believe spring time would be even beautiful as flower would be blossoming I think..!

Beautiful view of Apollo Bay from this lookout point. It’s just a short 5 min walk from the car parking. The walk is little steep climbing up but the view is incredible! Totally recommend to visit this place for the glorious sunsets 🌅

Awesome views. 10 minutes walk. Be mindful of the soft mud on the hike which was slippery. Around 10 spaces for car park.

Short walk to the look out. A beautiful view of Apollo Bay. You can see bow each clusters of the town are grouped. Worth a visit especially since cost nothing.

Lovely spot for sunset (sunset behind the hills shining golden hour light over Apollo Bay). A nice quick walk up to the lookout which isn’t a “man-made” lookout, just the top of the hill. People had brought picnic rugs and takeaway dinner to enjoy. Highly recommend.

Short steep trail to a great lookout (and some wildlife on the hillsides).  Suitable to take a pram up, but it is a challenge.  Would not take pram if they can't walk down on own because pushing pram down is more dangerous. We were able to push it up hill and have our son walk down while I pushed empty pram. Took only about 5-10 mins to walk each way.  Overall short walk for very nice view, highly recommended and estimate spent about 10-15 mins on the top or a little more if you want to bring a picnic.

The walk worth it. About 10 to 15 minutes. The scenery is breathtaking!
I feel that this is way better than Teddy's Lookout at Lorne.
