Had a wonderful bottomless brunch here. Classic Italian eats, delicious pizza and pasta. The charcuterie was a brilliant way to start and enjoy grazing. Lemon spritz on arrival and copious amounts of bubbles were welcomed. The tiramisu was delicious and not overly sweet.
Fantastic value, great service and food.

We came for the bottomless brunch at 1pm and it was pretty quiet which was nice so we could chat. Got a lot busier around 3pm. Wine selection was pretty good and the Long Islands had 2 options of coke or pineapple… Not the best in the world but it was good considering it’s bottomless. The waitress Mary was so friendly and accomodating.

Such a great experience. We celebrated my husband's birthday here on Thursday and everything was perfect. The food quality was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. We had the most attentive server in Mica, who made the experience even better. She was warm friendly and helpful, and is an asset to Matteo. We will definitely be back

Food and staff were amazing, very accomodating and helpful. Their recommendations were superb, and everything was very tasty. Atmosphere is classy and casual, however a little loud. Would definitely come back, and recommend!

Dining experience was ok, our table wasn’t ready by the time we booked it for. We ordered set menu, and the portion size was good, very filling. Food was good overall and brought out quick. Just be remindful that there is surcharge for group over 6 people that we weren’t told before.

Great food alwaysss. Loved the zucchini flowers & pizza. My favourite is their tiramisu though it’s so light and perfectly balanced, one of the best I’ve had definitely! I’ve already been here a few times can’t wait to go back again :))

One of the beat pasta I have tried in Sydney so far. The Rigatoni Vodka has the perfect taste, texture and presentation. Wagyu Carpaccio is delicate and delicious. Will be back to try more.

It was a lovely experience. The food tasted amazing, the fresh pasta especially. I dined alone and the staff were friendly and the service was quick. The only issue I had is you need to get 2 dishes per person to have a proper meal.

We had a lovely dinner!! Staff were super nice, service was good, food and drinks were delicious! Best dish was the pistachios pasta with tuna!

The venue was buzzing when we went in for a Thursday lunch and man was it good!

We had a selection of dishes that we shared which worked well and that way you get to taste everything, which I recommend because it is melt in your mouth delish!

Stand out dishes for me were the Octopus croquettes (YUM!) 😋 and Italian Pie. Wowow. That “pie” was filled with so many delicious ingredients I went back for seconds.

Staff were attentive and sweet.

Absolutely perfect in every way. The ambience was spot on, had a good vibe but not too loud, the service was incredible and fast and the food is to die for. The beef carpaccio is an absolute must, they have the best carbonara in Sydney and the cotaletta is 🤤🤤 everything here is 12/10.

Wonderful dining experience, would definitely come back and recommend this place to others! The Gnocchi was delicious as well as the burrata. Very fresh and smelled so good that I couldn't help but take a couple of bites even before taking pictures! The staff were very friendly and it was truly an experience watching the chefs work, I even felt as though it was given a personal touch by getting to chat with them. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

A wonderful culinary experience in a bustling CBD setting. This place was packed on a Friday night and our table of 9 was well looked after. If you come for a birthday they will bring out a lit candle for your tiramisu at the end. We had the $85 pp set menu and there is a lot of food, we were definitely full at the end and I couldn't fault any of the dishes. It also includes an aperol spritz to start you off. The vodka rigatoni was tasty and wonderfully al dente, the prosciutto in the antipasti board and the pizzas was so fresh, soft and not too salty like most other places. The flatbread is next level, beautifully seasoned to stand out on its own. The steak was also juicy and medium rare, paired with a white sauce that complemented it perfectly. Overall a great dining experience and a vibrant night out in a romantic, dimly-lit setting.

We had such a lovely experience at Matteo Downtown. Front of house team are all so sweet and accomdating to some of the dietary needs on our table. Food came out quickly and was all so delicious! I will 100% be coming back here again.

A most enjoyable evening. Greeted with friendly smiles and had the pleasure of eating delicious fresh Italian food. Every dish we selected was cooked to perfection. The bread and bread sticks are freshly made on site. I will definitely go back.

Pasta was incredible. Drinks were incredible. The atmosphere is fantastic. Love their new payment method via QR code to split bill.

Tucked away from the busy George street, beautiful pasta and wood fried pizza!! Amazing tomato ragotoni 🍅 !

👀 This was my sister’s choice for her Hen’s weekend as our Bridal party dinner. Located on Bond St in Sydney’s CBD.

💥 The restaurant has such a luxe vibe, navy blue booth paired with wooden furniture. Huge pizza ovens in the kitchen, the decor reminds me of a cruise ship but in a luxurious way.

🍷 Drinks menu is extensive, we had mainly their signature Downtown Spritz’s which is $20 a pop. Ketel one vodka, aperol, fiorente elderflower liqueur, grapefruit bitters, Prosecco and cucumber soda.

There was 6 of us total so we ordered:

Burrata $28 Burrata, tomatoes, basil, aged balsamic, evoo - Burrata is a must

PROSCIUTTO & BUFALA $30 30-month prosciutto di Parma, buffalo mozzarella, rocket, evoo - more soft cheese

Pizza we chose was BRESAOLA $26 Fior di latte, artichoke cream, taleggio, wagyu bresaola - loved this!!

Pasta we chose was Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare, Cherry Tomato, Fresh Chilli. which was absolutely delicious.

All the food is such quality you can’t really go wrong, i’d love to try more of their antipasti like the fritto, crudo and carpaccio.
