Skenes Beach House

I recently had a weekend away with my wife and chose Skenes Beach House after reading some of the reviews. What can I say? It certainly met our expectations and more, based on what the other positive reviews have said. It is modern, bright and airy, with a great location and views over the ocean and back to Apollo Bay, but also a little secluded so you don’t feel exposed to prying eyes. The house has a lovely wood heater for keeping it nice and toasty upstairs, while the downstairs bedrooms have electric heating units so you can keep comfortable overnight. Everything was spotlessly clean and very welcoming after the drive from Melbourne. We even enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine! A pleasure to stay there and we will be back again.

We had a lovely time staying here. The house is in a great spot with beautiful views of the water. Short walk to the beach, short drive to the shops in Apollo Bay. Loved the cosy fire and we even had a visit from a cute little koala in the tree next to the balcony!! There is heating in the bedrooms downstairs thank god because it’s freezing down there without it. Bedding was clean and comfy, they have everything you need. Looking forward to staying again.

Wow, had an amazing weekend at Skenes Beach House! Fantastic location, and really well appointed apartment. From the moment we walked in we loved the light and open feel of the place - clean, bright and breezy. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook up a storm. We will definitely be back!

Skenes Beach House was incredible. Views are amazing, so close to the beach and only 5 mins to Apollo Bay. The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home.
We highly recommend SBH for a coastal getaway.

We loved Skenes Beach House from the minute we walked in the door and were amazed with the ocean views. The house was clean and modern and a very short walk to the surf beach. The sound of the surf while sitting by the fire was so relaxing. We spotted a koala in a tree next to the decking. We will be back !

Where do i start, we arrived to a beautiful property, modern and stylish. Once we entered the house and did a tour we notice the shoddy upkeep of the place, bedding was old and tattered, rooms had a damp smell to them, bathrooms had no hand wash, in the kitchen cutlery were stored in a dirty state, there were no tea towels no dishwashing liquid other than 2 tiny sachets, sinks were gross and no clean sponges just old overused ones. Lights also need changing, they flickered so much we had to sit in the dark. We decided to leave a day earlier than booked for with such disappointment. Im hoping the owners will take this feedback and make changes so people get their moneys worth.
