Skenes Creek Foreshore Caravan Park

Recently camped at this site. About 2 hours and a bit from our place. Quite small campsite but with so much amenities and things to do around and this probably the reason why this campsite is so popular. Powered and unpowered sites good for tents, trailers and caravans. The individual sites are decent in size but could be squashy when busy but still alright as fellow campers were all nice.

This site is good for family with little ones since they have good and clean facilities. Clean flushing toilets and hot showers are the best! Enclosed kitchen and coin laundry plus mobile pantry was a bonus but didn’t arrive when we were there which was ok since we have everything with us. Kitchen has fridge but everyone seems git their own camping fridges, tv and tables and chairs.

Behind the sites are bushes then one side backing on to the beach and all you can hear is the waves at night. The other side is the road side but honestly, both side does not matter coz you would still need to go to the access points before you can reach the beach. It’s not like you’re backing on the beach and you get the view no! Coz it’s covered by the bushes.

Short walk to accesses that lead you to beautiful beach and walking trails to Apollo Bay. Kids enjoyed our exploration at night at the rock pools looking for little creatures like sea urchins, crabs etc. Be careful when walking in the sand as we saw a small snake but we just let it be and off it went.

There were surf lesson when we came and one of the facilities is that they have lines for wetsuits and taps everywhere to hose the surf gears etc. The maintenance guy was non stop emptying bins, wiping picnic benches and bbq huts, cleaning kitchen and toilets.

Very organised, texting everyone on updates and reminders. Quite pricey but worth the comfort.

Love this place! Incredible proximity to the beach and the shower toilet block and camp kitchen is of the best quality. Literally love waking up and going to sleep to the sound of the waves.

The park is closed until November.
The sites are well marked out, easy to access and the amenity block is very clean.

Amenities have been updated in Dec 2022, the whole park is very well maintained and campers where very friendly, though management kept close eye on all to ensure everyone was catered for. Camp sites are very small though, we had to request a double site so our camper could fit without impacting on neighbours, though thus was quickly rectified and wasn't an issue for management to do so.

Amazingly located on beach front access.

Would recommend, however this park is popular so advice to book early on peak times. There is ice here.

Totally snagged a great spot before exploring the 12 apostles along the great ocean road ! The camp community kitchen and showers were amazing !!

Dog friendly location with new facilities. This caravan park is great, small number of sites gives it a good community feel, with just a single road for access.
Four beach access lanes gives great access to the creek and beach.

Sites are not huge, so book/enquire ahead if you have a large van!

Excellent place. Right on a great beach. New, clean bathroom and kitchen block. Very friendly management. Personally came to check everything was ok. Dog friendly, kid friendly, we will be back!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I wish we stayed longer. Perfect location for the family 10 min from the township. Water is amazing, great amenities awesome service by reception, totally going there again.

What can we say, ripper place to stay. We loved staying at this park so much so we booked for later in the year. The staff Alex and Michael were friendly, beach front camping. A chilled vibe with friendly campers. Definitely would recommend for those who love to take their best mate (dogs) and human kind along with them.

Our family has been coming to this park every year since 2013. We have always enjoyed our time here, the park is so close to the beach so no need to cross the road to go for a swim or walk. Five minutes to Apollo Bay, you can have a camp-fire, Charlie the manager is lovely and welcoming, your dogs are welcome too! I suppose we don't expect five star luxury when we go camping so the fact there are toilets and hot water is wonderful :) Not fussed by the concrete floors, that's why you wear thongs/flip-flops in public facilities. If you are laidback and no fuss, this is the park for you. The views and sunsets are 👌

The beach was our backyard, handy when we were in 5 day lockdown, you could almost cast a rod from our caravan, now surely that would have been allowed Dan. Loved the shower amenities, took me back to the 70's when I was a kid, still functional but most importantly very clean. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did

Absolutely love this place. It’s not your upmarket kind of campground but it’s quiet and the workers there are so friendly and welcoming. It has all the amenities you need. The beach is just a few steps away. It’s perfect. Away from all the busy areas of tourists so the campsite and beach is more than inviting. Can not recommend it highly enough.

Great location right on the beach, but with a good amount of shelter from the bushes, and only 10min drive from all the amenities of Apollo Bay. Fairly reasonable price at $47 a night for 3 in (unpowered) tent. Decent hot showers, friendly staff, little shop on site. Chose to stay an extra night

We had a great stay with our dog. We couldn't have asked for a better beach spot. Our site was a great size and protected when the wind picked up. Staff/owner were super nice and made time to chat, even when it was busy.

Amazing beachfront location. Yes, the facilities are basic but absolutely fine. There is a well stocked kiosk that serves fabulous real coffee! Managers have been attentive and welcoming and fellow campers are respectful. Would definitely revisit!

Great beachside camping spot. Friendly and helpful staff and ability to have dogs and a campfire is a major bonus. Only a few minutes drive from Otway hikes or food and fun in Apollo Bay. Very quiet at night (except for the sound of the waves).

Not too crowded. A nice expanse of clean sand. Can find a sheltered spot in multiple wind directions. Can play in the shallows and shore breaks, just keep an eye out for the rip. I see lots of surfers. Not being a surfer, I cannot be sure, but it seems to accommodate beginners upward.

Caravan park and camping about as close to the beach as your going to get. Little store makes great coffee and offers a few bits and pieces you’ll need while there. Close to Apollo Bay for restaurants and larger supermarkets. Boom wary if you intend to stay over holiday periods, gets booked out well in advance. Highly recommend to stay!

Had a great experience at this camp site, people here are friendly. Owner Charlie? Is very welcoming, and make you feel at home. Facilities are very good and campsite is right beside the beach. I definitely come back

Great Old Skool Caravan Park right on the beach - we stayed here for 3 nights and loved it - will defo be back. Facilities look old but we used the bbq which was great - the showers were fantastic with great water pressure and endless hot water (i was a bit worried that it would be cold as 3 peeps had been in before me) and i could hear the waves crashing at night which was amazing and i loved all the dogs around the place. Thanks for keeping it old skool and affordable will be back as soon as i get more time off work!!
