The owners of this beautiful accommodation gave detailed thought on every aspect travellers need. We were totally spoilt by the kind hospitality and warmth that they showered us. Simply the best of the 4 we had chosen during the same trip. *We spotted two koalas at the back of the house ! Thank you so much. We hope to be back soon !!!

From the moment you arrive it takes your breath away, as soon as you walk in the door, you will be blown away by the view of the ocean through the huge glass windows along the front,the sound of the waves crashing and the colour of the water will take your breath away !
The first thought that came to my mind was, I never want to leave this place, I could just stay here forever and then you start to question the price in your head, you think, it couldn't be this cheap, not a chance, I must of booked for one night, not three ! This is honestly what I started to think and it took some reassurance before I could believe that i did have the right dates booked and the prices really are that cheap!
As you start to look around you will be captivated by the warmth that the house radiates at you from every direction,like a country cabin with beautiful wooden floors,and the seating is just perfect whether you're on your own,or here with family or friends, it has a spot for everyone.
But don't let the country cabin feel trick you, it has all the modern fittings too, electric blinds on all the windows a big smart tv in the lounge and smart TVs in both the bedrooms, with all the latest apps.
The Next thing you see is the jacuzzi and it's view of the ocean through the glass windows and also the view of the fire place so no matter what time your soaking in there with the spa jets going you either have a beautiful view of the ocean or the flickering flames from the fireplace at night !!
The Bedrooms are absolutely perfect, the beds are big and really comfortable, both rooms with there own smart tv and beautiful views through the windows, both rooms connect to there own bathroom and toilet,and there own walk in closets.
The kitchen isn't just fully equipped with absolutely everything, it also comes stocked fresh fruit, tea and coffee, coffee pods and a pod machine breakfast cereal, wine, chocolates, butter,water.milk, juice ,ALL COMPLEMENTARY ! It has microwave and conventional oven, dishwasher and stovetop, toaster, kettle, everything!!!!
Instructions on how to start the fire which was really easy. By the time the sun was setting, the fire was burning beautifully!
It also has a laundry with washer and dryer!
You are a 2 minute walk from the beach and just a 3 minute drive from the main Town of Apollo Bay.
I highly recommend staying here, I give this place a 10 out of 10

Superb location and accommodation. A stone’s throw from the quiet end of Apollo Bay beach. Fantastic views. Villas are spotless and well equipment. Lili is a very attentive manager that looked after all our needs. We will be back to appreciate the changes planned to the gardens at the back. Thank you.

Absolutely sensational accommodation. The location and view is second to none. Facilities are excellent and the Villa was very clean. Very hard to find fault with this amazing property! We would love to return one day for a longer stay :) Thank you for an amazing experience!

Stayed here with my Mum! We each had our own spacious and luxurious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and everything was perfect! It had all the extra finishing touches like robes and a proper coffee machine. Mum and I stayed somewhere else recently and we were a bit disappointed, we couldn't help but compare it to Chocolate Gannets which we loved so much!

Can’t possibly speak more highly of this place. From the very start when taking our booking, Lili was amazing. And we were absolutely delighted on arrival. The position and views from our beachfront Villa were naturally breathtaking, with the beach only a stones throw over the Great Ocean Road. And the Villa itself was incredible. Everything has been thought of in terms of design, furnishings and amenities. A gorgeous welcome hamper and fridge stocked with goodies. Highest quality appliances and crockery, all immaculately clean. We can’t wait to return! Caroline & George

This was a wonderful location, well designed, clean and an amazing view. The Villa we stayed in had a living room, bedroom and bath all facing the sea. The entire Villa appears to be recently renovated and was exceptionally clean. The living room was comfortable and the high ceilings and tall windows take full advantage of the location. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances in addition to a nespresso machine. The fireplace was welcome with firewood and tinder provided. In addition to all of above the owners of the property were hospitable ensuring our stay was enjoyable.

Stayed here for one night between Christmas and New Year 2014. Luckily after struggling to find accommodation during this peak time I came across Chocolate Gannets. The booking process was very easy and we looked forward to our night down the great ocean road. We were not disappointed! Sea Villa One was spacious, and luxurious. The breakfast basket was a lovely touch as well as the complimentary bottle of wine. With a quiet beach right across the road, it was a great escape from the city. Swim at the beach, champagne on the deck and then a spa bath looking out to the waves made a perfect day! Bed's were large and comfortable with many choices of pillows. Would highly recommend for a great getaway!

This is our fourth visit to Chocolate Gannets this past year. Each time we have a wonderful stay it's very much like home from home.

We loved Chocolate Gannets. The service from Lilli, the location across from the beach, the views, the fire (with plenty of wood) for the cold evenings and the spa bath overlooking the waves where we enjoyed our complimentary wine. I am tempted to move there permanently. The place was immaculate and the extra touches by Lilli made this an exceptional stay. We will be back.

We booked this place for our anniversary for two nights, and it was a amazing experience. This Villa is so beautiful, super clean and tidy, just across the beach with spectacular views...
There are so many consumable ammenities in the Villa which gives more comfort for the guests...

The best of the best accommodation in Apollo bay

Me and my husband have been craving for a holiday and of course after experiencing the world’s longest lock down (Melbourne) the more we wanted to go for a trip.

My husband almost booked 3 nights stay at a different property, it was the only one that has availability with the dates we require. With everyone wanting to escape the city, we are not surprise to know that all accommodations are booked out that fast.

Anyways, the booking did not go through successfully, so we were back to square one.
So I finally get on my computer and did the research myself, type in "Luxury Hotels in Great Ocean Road" in google and found CHOCOLATE GANNETS.

The dates we needed unfortunately isn't available at this place when we tried to book it online (sad) we called to verify and this was confirmed by the owner themselves,

We are ready to just let it go and maybe save it next time around.

Whilst we are still searching for other places around Great ocean road, we received a text message from the owner saying that they were somehow able to make some arrangement and can accommodate us on those dates- which we happily said "Yes" too straight away (Of course!).

Upon arrival, we were blown away on how beautiful the place is, how spacious the Villa is, Great amenities, they have everything that you need in there.

We stayed there for a couple of nights, when we were asked to stay for another night (as it became available) we again immediately say Yes to the owner
I can absolutely say that we love every minute of our stay at Chocolate Gannets.

We were gifted with a nice sunny day on the first day - which we spent exploring this beautiful town - (one of the main benefits is that this place is just 2 mins away from the town centre)
2nd day - it was raining so hard and found ourselves stuck in our villa (which we didn't mind at all)
The tranquil atmosphere of the Villa allows guests like us to feel totally at home.

The place is perfect so regardless of the weather, there is no way you can say you can't enjoy every minute of it.
In the Evening, we lit the fireplace, had dinner outside and enjoyed the night with some good old music. We've never felt more relaxed!!

Shoutout to the owner Lili!!, she has always been accommodating in making sure that we are enjoying our stay!

Definitely would come back again and again and again to this place. I meant with a place like this why wouldn't you??

Clean and Luxury accommodation! My family stayed there for two nights on the 12 and 13th of December. Beautiful ocean view and the owner is very nice, we love their super fresh and delicious berries, children enjoyed playing board games which they supplied, definitely will come back next time!

We absolutely loved our stay at Chocolate Gannets. Lili and Elliot were awesome hosts, they answered all our questions and were very accommodating and generous to our group. The photos of Chocolate Gannets do not do it justice ! The villas are huge, each bedroom has an ensuite and walk in robe. The kitchen is fully equipped and large. The views to the ocean are unparalleled. Each house has a front and back deck, as well as a BBQ. The TVs have foxtel, and the couches are very comfortable. The spa bath are also great. 10/10, you will not regret staying here !!

This place was amazing, directly opposite the beach just a short distance from town. The hosts have so many thoughtful additions like a phone charger, binoculars, breakfast hamper, fresh fruit, washing detergent, bath salts etc. Brekky or pre-dinner drinks out on the swing overlooking the ocean is perfect. Definitely paying the slight difference for the front direct beach front villas was worth it.

Stayed for 3 nights. Great location, beautiful villa and superb service. Just across from the beach and a couple of Km's out of Apollo Bay. Close enough to get what you need but far enough out to be quiet and peaceful. Worth every cent that we paid. The villa was so clean and comfortable. Owners obviously went that extra mile to ensure a great experience. I can not recommend highly enough.

Absolutely awesome! We stayed in Villa 3 at the back, didn't get complete front view of the beach but we still got an amazing view at that! Ocean and farm land. The villa was great, not fancy but still great! It even accommodated my big 4x4 and it was under cover too! That never happens.
