Gym Lab

First time ever gym members with no clues, we felt pretty lost and out of place initially. 2 weeks of daily 9:00 sweat and shine classes with Lil and Nat plus boot camp in the beach and we are feeling great.

I enjoy being active all day but stretching and strength work have been elusive for the last 25 years. I was lucky to have some encouraging and motivated friends who helped penetrate my unfounded resistance to joining. The classes are a fabulous way to get familiar with the space, find exercises that work really well and have fun with new friends who have heaps in common; pain, relief, vulnerability, courage and great humour.

Lil and Nat are so helpful, friendly, funny and effective in getting the groups up and into movement and muscles with music and joy.

It’s been lovely to get a feel for the gym vibe. It a whole lot more inclusive and positive than I might have expected from my untested and naïve outside view.

Great for the whole family.

The Gym Lab is a rebadged and upgraded version of a gym that has provided wonderful service to Otway Health and Apollo Bay for many years. Under the influence of the new team the gym has been refreshed and modernized to suit the needs of locals and tourists. With a nice balance of cardio and muscle/core strengthening equipment in a light and well ventilated space it has something for every gym user. At this time of year a great place to enact that fitness New Year’s resolution!

Highly recommend joining the new look Apollo Bay Gym Lab! Its run by a dynamic team of young women who have given the gym a breath of fresh air. The morning group classes are delivered in a fun & easy to understand way, they are packed with energetic exercises to improve strength & cardio for any level of fitness. I was once not a fan of gyms, however I've now established a routine & after regular visits - I now love my workouts & have met some really lovely people along the way. Thank you Lil & Amy for what you have created, thanks also to Nattie for your encouragement & smiles! Watch this space as I know the girls have more surprises in store!!! 10 out of 10!!!!!!

Gym Lab is the breath of fresh air we needed in our little corner of paradise. Amy & Lil are just the most wonderful supportive addition to the space and exactly what we’ve been missing. Can’t wait to see where they take it and make it their own.
