Miners Den Sydney

I've been a customer of the Miners Den Sydney since the early 1990s and even worked there for a number of enjoyable years. If you're keen to join the modern Gold Rush or to become a Treasure and Relic hunter, this is the store to visit!

Miners Den Sydney are certified Minelab Dealers for the Minelab metal detector range. They also supply gold panning accessories, electronic pinpointers and selected literature and maps. The staff are always more than happy to share information and local knowledge with newcomers, and the stores carry spare parts and equipment relating to the hobby/profession of Gold and Treasure recovery. Whether you're detecting the beaches and parks ...or out in the bush looking for gold nuggets with a gold pan or a metal detector, there's equipment suited to your specific needs. The staff can usually answer any questions you might have ...or identify what it is you've found. They hold 'Demo Days' from time to time in a nearby park (check the website for dates) and occasionally organize training with some of the more sophisticated machines out in the nearby goldfields.

You can order online for delivery or you can either phone or email the staff with any questions. Customer's needs are always the main priority. The busiest time in the store is often Saturday mornings.

Miners Den Sydney was previously located on busy Church Street at North Parramatta - (EDIT: Miners Den Sydney has relocated to their NEW address in Penrith). *These are images I took whilst out fossicking and prospecting with equipment I bought at the store, and there's a few taken at the original store location as well.

Went in the other day and spent over an hour in the store chatting to the guy working there. He told me a lot about Metal detecting since I'm a beginner, and he helped me pick a good beginners Metal Detector. I made some good finds on my first day using it, and I'm super happy with my purchase. They are very honest about their products, and I would highly recommend this store to anyone!

They are very knowledgeable about their products and they were honest and didn’t try to just sell the most expensive detector. They threw in a a free carrier back and book . If u want a metal detector or panning equipment support this small business. They are also selling motorised scooters. 😄

Great knowledgeable staff i had many questions and all were answered. In comparing metal detectors they were not biased to 1 model and gave me the positive and negatives so that I could make an informed decision on what I purchase.

Most helpful when I purchased my first detector, I took it to the UK with good results. Not only did I find a lot of new English coins but also found fourpense in old coins but also a farthing. I left all my gear with my brother in law to carry on in the Oxfordshire countryside. Now it's another trip to Parramatta tomorrow to gear up again to hit the beaches locally. Keep on looking ' cos you never know.

Bought a pro gold panning kit. Good quality items but not happy with their apparent paydirt bags. First bag i ordered had zero gold in it, rang the shop sent photos she happily replaced it. Second bag mind you got the tiniest piece of gold, one tiny piece mind you so small that it didnt even register on the scales, and zero anything else. Will not be purchasing again.

Doesn’t open as per advertised times, doesn’t return voicemails. I’m currently standing out the front of the closed shop with other potential customers on a Saturday morning.
