I couldn’t fault this restaurant as the food was put together beautifully both in flavour, inclusions and presentation. The decor feels wonderful to sit in both inside and out and we had Nicole as our waitress and she was very professional, super friendly and went out of her way to help me with my dessert requirements. Absolutely recommend.

Beautiful restaurant to have a cup of coffee and breakfast. Went there in the morning and not very crowded so we could be able to slowly enjoy our breakfast. We ordered taro latte and it’s really yummy. However, the staffs were not very attentive to us so each time we had to go all the way to inside the restaurant to call them because the restaurant is big.

Really terrific surprise to drive over the nepean River bridge and find this amazing oasis with great food and atmosphere. The surrounds are also worth exploring with walking bridge and paths along the river.

Revitalising river views in this Victorian revamped kitchen and bar, tucked away on a sharp turn off the great western highway over the bridge. It was a beautiful morning when we visited, and many sprawled outdoors dining, enjoying the scenery and company. There's a few private spaces, open dining areas, and external seating. Food is moderately priced and quality moderate, too. I had the chocolate Belgium stack pancakes with chocolate peanut butter protein shake with baileys. Service was tentative, afterwards, we took a walk over the commuter bridge next to the venue. You could easily host a wedding reception, birthday, or gatherings here.

Overall we had an amazing experience! Food, atmosphere, service all were great. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. It's pretty decent place

My daughter & I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our service was to the highest level & the food was delicious, hot & without a wait.
The gardens & overall scenery are pleasant on the eye, we would go back & definitely recommend to anyone asking for an overall enjoyable dining experience.

Thank you :)

What a beautiful space. Indoor and outside in the paddock. Great set up. Vintage yet modern. Very friendly staff. Lots of families and doggos. My coffee was average and the two donuts I purchased were a little stale. Apart from that a great experience.

Location is great, service is great and the menu has so much on offer. The Chicken Pita Stand is an impressive sight and tasty. Equally as impressive is the Short Rib Burger. Beautiful flavour, very generous but, unfortunately the meat on mine could have done with extra cooking time as it was quite tough throughout.

We recently had our work Christmas Party with a group of 25 people - We all had the most amazing time. The service was excellent from start to end. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food and drinks, oh my gosh, AMAZING! - plentiful and delicious. Timing of all the courses was seamless, with staff making sure of our desired timing - it was very professionally handled. The atmosphere was great, with music on the verandah giving a great vibe, and the view of the river, as the sun went down....just beautiful. I highly recommend Emu Hall for your next function, definitely value for money.

I really enjoyed the food and the service. The taste of the food was really really good! I was surprised I honestly didn’t expect it after seeing the reviews so don’t believe the reviews. Go have a dance and eat and drink it’s worth it!

So one reason I was keen to try out Emu Hall was actually to see who’s right about this place.

There’s obviously several angry reviews alongside the nice reviews and that added to the novelty and excitement over what my possible review would be. I don’t like writing unsavoury reviews for small businesses because it’s someone’s bread that we are pouring water on , and if someone’s working hard then they should be recognised. Note I don’t know the owner.

I’m a Penrith local and very proud of the entertainment scene out here, many options for a good night so it was my friend from outside the area who kept requesting we come to try the ribs at Emu Hall. He must like ribs and he never disclosed his source of why it had to be Emu Hall, give there are other strong rib offerings and like everybody……I heard about the mixed reviews.

So we sit down at 5pm Saturday ( to beat the crowd) and we order our food and drinks. There’s cocktails on the menu so a few are ordered and we catch-up with everybody. It’s a table of 16. 15 minutes pass and we wave down one of the servers and ask about the drinks. About 5 minutes later the drinks start coming and the cocktails have nice mixes of colours and exotic fruits strung through skewers on it. The women who order the cocktails brighten up after sulking about the time and it’s insta time.

My opinion is that there are two cocktail shaker guys so it’s going to take a while because each cocktail they give about 5-10minutes to. If the table in front of you has two cocktail orders that’s 15 minutes. We waited 20 so naturally there were orders in front. Yes they could hire more cocktail guys… but oh well , we’ll live! So folks noted, cocktails will take time.

The food arrives about another 15 minutes later. Keep in mind ribs will take a while and the food for the whole table came at same time. Our corner had ribs, margarita pizza, steak and chicken and waffles.

The ribs were strong, tasty, had enough sauce , meat was tender. Not exactly life changing but good solid. The star was the margarita , wood fire style, good quality buffalo mozzarella, with smoky crust and nice high end looking tomato Napoli base. The words really good were repeated as I shared it around. Just as good as any woodfire joint you’ll find in Australia.

The steak wasn’t as exciting as one would hope but my son loved it , given he likes steak. The chicken and waffles was pretty interesting with some mayo slaw sauce over it and it’s just different.

A second round of cocktails were ordered - keep in mind 15-20minutes - and now our 3 year old was getting fomo and voiced for a babycino. So we added that on and in return we had a cute little volcano like cup covered in hundreds and thousands and the frothed milk in the centre crater. The 8 year saw it , one more baby cino.

So, would I come back? Yes, the wood fired pizza was good, I had a good time and the servers were all attentive. My buddy still thinks it’s the best ribs. The food is a level above your pub parmi, not fine dining, but there is clear effort in the menu and kitchen to please everybody. The lamb skewer also looked good.

It’s a Saturday night, everybody is dressed for a good time, there’s good high energy music, smiles everywhere , from both the servers and the folks.

The Penrith entertainment scene is amazing, there’s a lot of options and Emu Hall makes a good contribution and there’s no problems with parking. I’m still keen to try all the other offerings but will definitely pass a good word out there next time I’m asked or need to find a nice destination to go out.

Great lunch! food was beautiful to look at, and very tasty. Steaks and salmon were cooked to perfection. Generous serves but not too much food. The Snow white cocktail was so yummy and the dessert were decadent. The staff were all lovely and accommodating. Didn't have to ask for table water and it was refilled when it ran low. Beautiful location right on the river. 5 stars, will definitely be back!

Lemme sit up straight for this one...

I could not believe that I had not been to this place before, or even heard of it! It is a true gem of the West. It is located on beautifully managed grounds with spacious outdoor dining options (beer garden or grassy picnic area with seats and tables).

The food... the food! A-MAY-ZINGGG! And very reasonably priced! Everything was excellent (including the service) and they served the best wings I've ever had in Sydney! The food was perfectly seasoned, served hot, and was very filling.

If you're tired of the CBD or elsewhere, definitely look West for a formidable but affordable dining option. And when you're done, you can go for a walk along a beautiful trail - it's a whole combo experience.

Our party of 7 dined here for the first time. We had a table on the verandah. The service was excellent, the food fresh, delicious and good value. It was a busy sunny Sunday and the atmosphere and live music were excellent. We'll be back!

Beautiful spot with lively surroundings. We had a antipasti platter to feed 2-6 people, we were 2 people having it for dinner. It was a gorgeous platter, but too much blue cheese for our taste. Would need more bread / crackers for that.

Omg, had the best breakfast here. Came here after the River Walk to have a catch up with three friends. The surroundings are beautiful, inside and out. Should be able to order everywhere not just inside the yellow house. But confusing, but other than that. Food was so artistically, aesthetically pleasing to the eye and to our mouths! My pineapple mint juice was so refreshing. The friends loved their shakes. I loved how the pancakes looked! Didn't want to spoil it by eating it. We will be back, great place to come with friends or a crowd. We started to sit outside but a bit too hot so we went inside, just wish you had some fans as the humidity was killing me.
Not your fault but mother nature's though 😆 Couldn't fault the service either. Thanks!

What a gem of a place. Popped in for tea on our walked but stayed for breakfast. (Who can resist with a menu like there). Then came back again for dinner. Loved the food, its very well presented and tastes amazing.

This was my first visit and I absolutely enjoy everything about this place. The atmosphere was great, loved the food, the cocktails are amazingly delicious. This place is great to visit with a group of friends as it can be quite loud.

Wouldn’t recommend a couple going as the service may be a little slow but if you are with friends it really doesn’t matter.

I look forward to going back soon.
