Hill Street Grocer South Hobart

A great shop on a small scale. All you can need to restock! The fruit and vegetables are good quality with a good proportion being locally grown.
There is fresh meat, some prepackaged but also available in their all butcher section, as well as fresh seafood
While normal prepackaged bread is available, there are other locally made breads, cakes and pastries.
So much in a compact space. I like to shop there as a treat to source special bakery items. Off street parking is limited but free street parking is also available.

This is a gourmet grocery store with gourmet prices but to be sure, they do have lots of good stuff to eat and drink.

Fantastic store heaps of different and really fresh produce at s cheap price big range of fresh baked breads to staff are friendly and helpful definitely recommend checking it out the locals know .

Our local grocer - staff are always friendly. It's a very tight space so I do get anxiety but because it's small I'm in and our pretty fast!

This is our goto place for slightly nicer/fresher, deli and gourmet food. They also have a good selection of Tasmanian wines.
The store manager is a good guy and has bent over backwards to get unstocked items in on request.

My go to place for fresh fruit and vegetables. Great to see so much local produce. They have an impressive range of artisan bread. All the big local names are there. They often present new and interesting products, like the recent crepes, yum.

I don’t ever and I mean EVER give out 5/5 reviews, but let me tell you I am impressed to the brim. The pricing is a tad higher than what you would see at a your chain store, but perfect for fresh local produce, artisan fromage and frittata section! It’s delectable. Bellissimo!

Im so impressed. The young man in your butchery having no qualms with dicing the chicken breast, a junior employee asking if I needed any help in finding a particular item, at the checkout I was asked if I needed any help with taking my groceries to the car & the cafe is amazing. WELL DONE EVERYONE.

Small grocer store which hosts a huge variety of fresh produce, shelved items and some really tasty deli meals. Prices are fair and staff are super friendly, good vibes.

Also very accommodating operating times.

Caution, Don't Park your car in front of yellow curb lines or the locals on the street get a bit testy.

A little expensive but the service is always super friendly. Hill Street carry a lot of yummy Tassie made product lines, all packed into a small store. Great place to get gourmet foods, fresh breads and lots more. Small carpark so try the side street.

Nice shopping experience and I can always get my favourite Pigeon Whole bread. Parking can suck at busy times of the day, but that's the case every where

It's cramped as hell in here but I wouldn't have it any other way. Great staff, incredible produce, and always immaculately clean.

Love Hill Street supermarkets. Excellent quality fruit and vegetables. They also sell the absolute best sour dough bread by Summer Kitchen.
