IXL Long Bar

Absolutely amazing tonight! The vibe, the band and the staff were all incredible. We came for a couple drinks before dinner and ended up cancelling our reservation to stay and watch the band and have a few cocktails. HUGE shout out to Matt, Jenn and Julie for taking such good care of us tonight

Had a great night there with my partner. The two piece band were looking for ideas and played every request with gusto!
The two magnificent bartenders kept us plied with some of the finest cocktails, rum and whisky I've had. On tap was a seasonal beer that I fell in love with.
The venue is cosy, and comfortable. The bar - with lights under glass - shows off the skill of the bartenders with a reflective glow. The crowd a slightly older one. An easy ace to have a conversation without trying to shout over the top of music or other folk. One of the highlights of my visit to Hobart

No food just exceptional drinks and service.
Matt is an absolute champion behind the bar.
He recommended the Island of Fire whiskey cocktail to me and it was the best drink I've had.

What a great bar for a drink. Fantastic location, great ambience, excellent musicians. The staff are very knowledgable about their trade and Tasmania. A must stop in place when in Hobart. We will definitely be returning.👍🏾👍🏼

Definitely five star. Signature cocktails are fantastic in flavor. Easy to get dizzy - in a good way. Love the trio performance.

Lovely spot to sit and enjoy a gin and tonic. If u want less noise to chat, go to the red lounges in the dining area

I don't know why this place has the rating it does. The cocktails are head and shoulders above anywhere else in Hobart.

Better than almost anything in Melbourne also.

Dropped in here for a drink and found an amazing space with excellent, friendly, knowledgeable staff and a superb range of drinks, focusing on local but plenty of range outside that also. Will be a permanent fixture on any future trips to Hobart.

Excellent selection of fix, great bartenders (thanks Pat and Ash), good food and epic live jazz. Try the island of fire if you're into whisky!

Went here a couple of times while in Hobart because the cocktail menu was so good.

Service was super friendly and interesting - can't remember his name but the bar tender had plenty of great recommendations for the area too. Thanks for making a great trip even better.

Enjoy small plates and cocktails or just a cool beer. Often hosting talented Jazz Musicians or even an opera trained singer. Hobart's oldest street laced with sandstone romance. IXL Bar has wonderful friendly staff highly trained and eager to enhance your Hobart Experience.

What a great find! With friendly and knowledgeable staff, a great environment, superb cocktail and drinks list .. and on the night we went a fantastic jazz trio (the young lady singing was amazing!)... There was no better way to spend a couple of hours on a Friday night!

We were a bit chilly & asked for a cocktail to warm us up! The barmen all enthusiastic. Had a fab hot whiskey. They encouraged us to come back the next night to hear the jazz band, so we did. Highly recommend
