Hill Street Grocer West Hobart

We are so lucky in Tasmania to have Hill Street Grocer. I honestly don’t think I would have moved here if I was having to rely on Cole’s and woollies! Hill street Grocer in Sandy bay and West Hobart are a cross between Harris Farm Markets and Fortnum & Maison in London. So well priced with a marvellous deli/seafood counter and the cheese! What can I say about how fantastic the range is, not to mention the samples!

A wonderful fresh food market with so much 'more' to offer. The range and quality of food and drinks is outstanding. The selection of cheeses and chocolates makes our journey from the others of Hobart worthwhile.

Hill Street also provides and delivers flowers, hampers and other gifts. Our overseas family regularly use Hill Street to commemorate special occasions and avoids wasting money on postage costs. There is a brilliant selection of quality hampers.

The ladies in the home section prepared an amazing charcuterie platter with less than two hours notice and refused my tip, despite being flat out busy on a Saturday afternoon. Miracle workers.

What a find....a feast of gorgeous fresh produce and products including flowers, bakery and prepared meals, Deli, supermarket and amazing gifts....wish we had one in Queensland!!

Everyone should experience this great grocery shop once and you will go back. Great variety of food and gifts. A one stop shop. Carpark is a tad small for an F250, but the car park attendant was very helpful getting us in and out.

Really good small supermarket with great fresh produce and deli counter. Also sells local wife and beers. Had a huge range of local and imported cheeses. A bit on the pricey side though.

We had such a wonderful experience stopping by Hill Street Grocer West Hobart while on our travels to stock up for the road. The staff are so lovely and helpful, thank you guys!

Hill Street Grocers is one of the hidden gems of Hobart. To me its like bringing a farmers market to the local corner shop. I love going to any of the Hill Street Grocers because its all about quality. I live in West Hobart so the original Hill St store is my closest. The food is the best quality, the space itself is enjoyable to move around, and the staff are of the highest quality. They always seem to have something "special" and I never walk out without having something that I know will give me pleasure. I have lived in every capital city in Australia, and have never come across something like Hill St. A real highlight of the Hobart experience.

The very best produce, from fresh vegetables and fruit to the best stocked deli you could want, predominantly Tasmanian produce (of course) but a good representation of other Australian and international super stars. Seafood, BREAD (Oh the bread) and the shelves crammed with the very best items across any category you could want... all in a space 1/3rd that of the market dominators. Exquisite. But be warned, it's the sort of place that will entice you to spend way more than you intended - and fully justified!

Amazing for a quick last minute shop

Fresh produce is always excellent quality. Delicatessen is fantastic. Aisles are narrow so no good for walkers or wheelchairs. Parking can be fraught.

This grocer is extremely overpriced but the produce is good quality and it will most likely have all the necessary items for a good meal. The staff are friendly and patient and will always assist you and make small talk with you the grocer is definitely worth the high prices and has a,zing service and stock.

The deli with only the best foods. The staff who are suspiciously kind. The chip isle filled with only the best. This supermarket is the best in all of west Hobart. Not only does it boast the best products, but also can be easily accessible with the conveniently placed car park.

Was a bit surprised as I thought it was a little upper market. But after going into their store I will defaintly be returning.
Service was second to none I've seen for a very long time. Prices were as good as any fruit market or supermarket and the quality was near perfect. Not to mention a huge range of some unique varieties of fruit and veg.

Very aesthetic. Very popular amongst locals. Jam pack with customers and full of various items that I don't normally see in other general supermarket. Price wise, for general items fruit and veg they are quite competitive, but unique items can be quite pricy.
