The Gamekeepers Secret Country Inn & Restaurant

I came out for dinner here on a Wednesday night. Had a choice of an entree, main and dessert for $30. Value for money 💰💰 Service was great and a few parts of the restaurant, reflecting the character of this place.. I had calamari 🐙 for entree, lamb shanks (2)🐑 for a main and berrie cheesecake for dessert 🎂 All in all, everything was great

It’s been years since I have been back. Enjoyed a lovely fun night with my partner. Live music, great songs and the singers voice was amazing. I did not get her name, but she performed Adele so well. The atmosphere has not changed, still very local, simple, and homey. Great service, very attentive. The food, Honestly if my man liked the rare steak (or maybe it was ribeye, I don’t eat steak so not sure, check the photos) then it’s a great place to add to our list of places to visit next time for date night. Totally recommend, and need to go back to try more yummy eats of the menu. Delicious.

Wonderful pub and atmosphere, feels very much like a Scottish Lodge. Definitely going back for the Steak and Guiness Pie!

We came here to eat tonight. I have been here 5 times now and enjoyed every visit.
Tonight was so good the service was so good the lady was so nice and very polite manners. My friends amd i have already booked again for next month. The meals were sooo good and worth the money. Highly recommended.

Beautiful English pub setting, roomy, delicious filling meals, lovely country pub setting and fireplace for the Winter months. Also function hire. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back! We had the Guiness Pie and Lamb shanks, meat melts off the bone, vegies and mash potato.....mouth watering and a hearty meal.

We live locally and have always wanted try this venue for many years…so we finally booked it and it was the best decision, as it far exceeded our expectations as we ended up not just having a great dinner but such a wonderful night! The staff were very friendly and professional, the ambience warm and inviting. I ordered the filet mignon and it was hands down one of the best steaks I have ever had. It was perfectly cooked, medium rare, with a tasty gravy, and they even had hot English mustard, on request. My husband loved his fish & chips and the vegetables/salad were just as tasty. The food portions were very generous too. The desert menu looked great but we were too full so opted to take our dessert home, and just finished the night with a cup of tea. But we were in no rush to leave at all and we wanted to stay and enjoy their absolutely delightful and very talented singer, Carol, who made the evening so special with her wonderful voice and song choices…she added so much to the evening… wonderfully old school as if we were in a piano bar. We will definitely be back from here on!!

Once again. Had a great meal, steak cooked to perfection. Large portions and great Guinness. Waitress and bar staff were excellent.. as always. If you’re looking for good, honest and local dining. Look no further..

First time here, great food, friendly service British atmosphere, nice and local, food came out real quick. Feels like being in the Uk without the expense of an airfare.

Let me tell you... I felt like I was the most comfortable that I have ever felt in a restaurant. Staff were amazing and accommodating. Food was 5 stars. If you want a good meal come to this place.

Fantastic friendly staff, beautiful food, great atmosphere, amazing live music, rare to find a little hidden treasure like this.

Honestly, $30 3 course deal on a Wednesday night, you can't go wrong.
Don't go in expecting class and quality, but it's got a charming vibe to it, the staff are friendly, and the food was more than enjoyable.

The Gamekeepers Secret was a lovely surprise. Although it seems a little outdated the service and the meals are amazing. Addi and Lotti provide great service with a genuinely friendly manner. Meals are very reasonably priced, I doubt anyone would be disappointed eating here.

Ambient atmosphere, beautiful food, friendly staff. As soon as you step in the place, you are instantly transported to the old world of european pub.

Showing its age both inside and out, but it was a great meal and staff were friendly and relaxed.
Not too busy when I was there on a Thursday for steak night.
Update: $30 Wednesday night three course meals are definitely worth it.
