Amazing resort. All the staff were so attentive and had amazing attention to detail from start to finish. Rooms wise- spacious and beautifully decorated with large windows to view the beautiful bay and mountains. All equipped with any amenity you could want and the snacks and alcohol in the rooms are all delicious and restocked daily. Restaurant- All the food served in the restaurant use locally sourced ingredients. Every dinner was exciting as they came up with a different 5 course dinner option every night with wine pairings. Activities - such fun activities included! We did the Marine oyster farm (my personal favorite), Tasmanian Devil encounter, Beekeeping experience. Would love to come back!

We have come back to Saffire every year for ten years and it’s always absolutely superb. The rooms, the service, the experiences, the location, the food and wine - it’s all perfect. One of the best boutique hotels in the world.

As expensive as this hotel is, they truly could charge more. Between the location, the rooms, and that both the experiences and meals are included makes this hotel worth the price. The guides and experiences are great. I was expecting some of the experiences to be hokey but I enjoyed them all and the hotel takes great pride in the guest experience. Food is very personal in my opinion; I thought both the food and options were great and don't expect a pool. It's not that kind of hotel.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My wife and I have just spent 5 days in this unbelievable location to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Websites will show the breathtaking views and list all the incredible experiences available but can’t provide a description that does justice to the amazing staff and the lengths they go to personalize your stay. They truly made us feel like the most important guests staying there! Easily the best accommodation experience we have ever had!

One of the best luxury stays in Australia. The staff and service is beyond anything I've ever experienced anywhere in the world. The staff can't do enough for you, an experience worth having!

Myself and my friend had a spa treatment at the Saffire Spa which was amazing! Special thanks to Abbey for giving us great recommendations of places to visit around the East Coast! Would definitely come back again!

I don’t often write reviews but this place far exceeded my expectations and deserved a mention.
The staff, location, service and food were all magnificent and the extra attention to detail, made our stay absolutely perfect.

It’s now I realise that the five star rating on Google is just not enough - this place deserves ten!
Firstly, it’s located in a stunningly beautiful place - every turn reveals another wonderful vista, rain or shine.
Secondly, the resort itself is a masterpiece in design and layout, with every window having a view and all of the spaces connected, comfortable and private.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the staff are amazing. Every staff member, from front of house, through wellness to wait staff, and on to housekeeping, we’re skilled, friendly and helpful. It really felt like we were the most important people and nothing was too much trouble.
The dining experience was fantastic, with an outstanding menu for all meals. The food and wine selections were a continual showcase of the best Tasmania has to offer and perfectly balanced.
The supporting activities were wonderful and I strongly recommend the oyster tasting - delicious, fun and educational!!

Wish I could give this place 10 stars! The level of customer service and luxury at Saffire is next level. The suite and facilities are stunning of course but the highlight of Saffire is the staff.

From the second we arrived till the second we left, every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful and thoughtful. As we were eloping whilst there, they found ways to slip in extra surprises to make our stay special – delivering treats to have whilst we got ready, a special dessert at dinner, returning to our suite to find ‘Congratulations’ written in the sand and our bubble bath full with champagne waiting. Not to mention the beautiful flowers and card left for us the next day from the manager. The staff truly go above and beyond.

We enjoyed the Warbs Distillery Tour, the Tassie Devil Experience and the Oyster Farm Tour (a must, even if you don’t like oysters!). I also had a beautiful facial in the spa which left me feeling so relaxed.

The palate restaurant was amazing with a different menu for every meal. We tried so many new foods and flavours during our stay and left dinner every night 100% satisfied and full!
Saffire is expensive yes, but it was absolutely worth it. It was the perfect choice for our elopement and I know we will reminisce about how good our stay was for years to come (and hopefully return for an anniversary or two!).

Came with my family because our electric car was running out of battery and they treated us like we were hosts here. Even invited us to a Coke Zero free of charge. The man at the front desk was really nice and super helpful

The finest "spoil yourself" resort in the whole of Australia - and it's numerous awards from Hospitality/Travel journals over the last 12+ years is proof of that. The service levels are absolutely fantastic with all the minibar and local excursions to an excellent winery Craigie Knowe - Freycinet Marine Farm (oysters) all built into the price. Staff are friendly and attentive and so professional. The FOOD is the best and gets you to try new things you might not see in normal restaurants - we tried sea urchin but are not fans but at least we now know! The 20 rooms ( all suites with 3 grades of luxury to choose from) are spacious and well taken care of by housekeeping.
The views are to die for over the Hazard mountains. If you want treat yourself and a friend/partner you cannot do any better than this exquisite resort.

5 Stars do not do this amazing place justice. The staff were incredible and service outstanding. Location was spectacular looking over those majestic mountains. Each and every activity offered in this magical place, left you wanting more with the knowledge of a passionate guide who had left you all the more wise and richer. The suites were better than a home away from home leaving nothing to the imagination. Even a hot water bottle to warm the bed. The dining experience encouraged by the amazing restaurant staff was a journey and view worth every gasp of breath and taste sensation.

Me and my wife spent two glorious nights here as part of our honeymoon. Absolutely lived up to all our expectations in every way. Staff were so pleasant and helpful and the room was amazing. The food was the highlight, it’s unbelievably good, could not fault it. Bit of a once in a lifetime experience!

Absolutely amazing. I will rave on and on about my experience here for years to come. Once you arrive, you are greeted at the entrance by one of the staff, and they will look after your car and luggage. And once inside you are treated to a breathtaking view of Coles Bay and a glass of bubbly. This place is just incredible, the staff are perfectly attentive without being intrusive, the food is exquisite, the wine list extensive, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable and they are situated in such a way that once you're in there you feel like you are alone in the world, with only the unobstructed view of the bay to keep you company. They offer many different experiences to do while you spend your time there, but my wife and I were just as happy sitting on the couch looking at the bay, watching the clouds and the fog roll in and watching the wildlife while sampling the impressive mini bar. But personally, the real star of this show are the staff, they truly go above and beyond, exceeding all expectations to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible, they add personal touches to everything they do for you to really make it feel like you're the most important people in the world. 1000/10 would definitely come again.

Amazing location and service. As second timers to Saffire it again exceeded our expectations.
The accommodation is 5 star and the food was stunning. All the activities were fun and the oyster farm is a must do. Special thanks to Hamish who went out of his way to make our stay amazing and David in the restaurant who’s knowledge of the food and wine made our last night special. We will definitely be back. Definitely the best of the Luxury Lodges of Australia.

We had the pleasure of staying at Saffire in December to celebrate my birthday and it’s safe to say it didn’t disappoint. The whole experience was memorable; the check in, the accommodation, the views and the meals were all without fault.

Special mention to Nicole, who accompanied us on our wine tour to Craigie Knowe, David, for being an all round super star, Issac for making sure our oyster tour lived up to high expectations and Rob, who ensured our bee keeping experience was thoroughly enjoyed (and is still being talked about today). Last but not least, Mat - thanks for having us and for sharing a special piece of the world with us.

We had an incredible stay here- from being personally welcomed by the general manager upon checking in to receiving a goodie bag with a Riesling we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay...the service here is outstanding. Saffire may be relatively pricey however it stands apart from other luxury hotels in the attention to detail paid to each and every guest. Every whim was catered for, every preference for food and drink remembered. From the lovely French couple who served us breakfast and lunch to Jordan and Nicole who were our guides for some of the included activities we were always looked after and entertained. The quality of the food at the restaurant was sublime so much credit to the head chef and his awesome team. Thanks for a lovely stay Saffire! We'll be back!

Terrific location. Great base for exploring eastern Tasmania. The walk up to view Wine Glass Bay is a must for everyone. The hotel’s food, service and facilities are exemplary. Well worth the extra money to stay here.

There are not many places in Australia that can give Saffire a run for its money... not even joking! The property itself is magnificent, but the view of the hazards is something else. The food exceeded my expectations (mixology was great fun too and the local wine and spirits available were next level quality) and the room was spectacular. We really took advantage of the views from our suite and appreciated the space from the minute we arrived until we departed. The team work hard, and are all so genuine. They read their audience well, thus adapting their service as necessary. We never had a bad encounter. The spa took me to heaven and back, which was a great way to kick-start our stay. A standout team member for me was Melissa. We had the pleasure of her hosting us on the oyster farm tour and the guided hike to Wine Glass Bay. She is so knowledgeable and so proud. It's amazing to see. She was genuine, warm and really made these experiences special. Overall, we had a spectacular stay and we will return. Well played Saffire, you have something special here. Thank you!

Easily one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever done. The staff are all incredibly friendly, personable and pay so much attention to detail. They were very accommodating to our dietary requirements. The actual hotel itself is stunning with fantastic views and easy access to Wineglass Bay and the rest of Freycinet National Park. We are already wanting to come back!
