A small local seafood restaurant. They have a list of fresh fish on the board and you can have any of them in the fish and chips. I had the perch and it was super fresh and delicious. There is a nice mix and match option so you can get prawns, scallops, fish bites, etc. The prawns were large and tasty. This was the best batter we've had in Tasmania as it was tempura style as opposed to a panko crust.

Had the seafood basket for 2 and the fish pieces were sooo fresh, tender, moist, perfectly cooked and tasty!!! Best fish and chips I’ve ever had and that’s a pretty big call =D Calamari, prawns, chips were good too. The fish wing was a treat (esp the crispy fins) never had a fish and chip shop serve one before. I liked the subtle sweetness in the batter. Scallops were Abit small. Large Salad was Abit dear for $12, but was slightly more premium eg. had mixed variety of cherry tomatoes in it. Overall, would definitely recommend!

We dined at 1:00 on a Sunday.
There was a wonderful space to sit over looking the water, or many spaces available in the dining room upstairs, which looked like a converted shed. It was appropriately coastal and rustic.
The food on offer was traditional fish and chip fare. We ordered the seafood platter for two. It had fish (gummy shark), octopus tentacles, prawns, chips etc. it was ready quickly and was fresh and hot. The batter was tasty and not overwhelming.
There was a nice array of soft drinks, beer and wine on offer.
The staff were very friendly and courteous.
Live music was setting up as we left.
A nice place to enjoy fresh and tasty seafood.

Honestly, this is hands down the best fish and chips place in Tasmania. A lot of people will swear by the expensive flashy places, but honestly, keep it nice and simple and it usually turns out to be the best. This place doesn't try make the food fancy and does not spend a fortune on advertising. So what it does best is fish and chips, and boy does it deliver on that front. The fish is so damn soft and cooked to perfection in the batter. I'm always taken back by the quality and never disappointed. Try it out on your journey along the east coast!

Been on a driving holiday in Tassie eating fish and chips up and down the coast and this is the best we have had. The fish itself is fresh and battered properly, the chips are amazing and the oysters are out of this world - kept live and shucked to order!! The place itself is what a fish and chips shop ought to be. It’s on a 150 year old fishing marina battered by the sea and winds, in a ramshackle building full of fishing paraphernalia and news clipping of storms from 50 years ago. The service is quirky, from Jules’ humour to the boss pulling out his vinyl collection to add to the atmosphere in the dining room. This is a must stop for anyone passing through the area.

I've tried different fish and chips in Tassie and this is by far the best one I've had. Recommended! Juicy fish, tasty batter and crunchy chips. They couldn't sell alcohol when we were there but it's byo until they get their licence back.

We ordered Fisherman’ Basket $26 enough to be shared for 2 persons. Delicious and generous portion. Oysters were fresh and juicy. Super nice and reasonably priced.

Don't go anywhere else!
The venue is awsome, rustic and right on the water. Any closer and you'd be swimming.
The food is by far the best fish and chips I've had (coming from a mainlander who resides on the coast).
Reasonably priced.
Met the owner who was extremely nice and even showed us the fresh seafood out back.

Will be back for my next trip.

Amazing fish and chips with a view to match! We got a seafood basket for two, which contained a bit of everything. Everything was so fresh, the squid and fish were particularly amazing and the chips were great too. We found the prices to be reasonable given the quality and quantity of food. Highly recommend!

What a venue and the fish and chips could be the best I have ever had. So fresh the batter done to perfection. So much character and a very authentic vibe. I’d come back to Tassie just for this place.

Great little place to grab fish and chips. We had an excellent Freycinet Reisling, a dozen osyters and some fish and chips with a great view over the water. The fish and oysters were clearly fresh and the standout. Well worth a visit for fresh seafood and a glass of wine...

Must try fish and chip in Bicheno as it is in the top 10 fish and chip in Australia. Tried a Wrasse fish and chip. Was my first time knowing this fish and it tasted good. Chips is awesome, crunchy and cooked through. Scallops are amazing. Price is decent for a shop in a small town. You can have fish and chip with a stunning view at the ramp.
Also tried gummy shark (known as flake) in the next morning. It is soft, smooth and natural sweet taste. It is a must-go place. Oysters are succulent too and it tasted even better than oysters from bruny island (personally). It’s my second place to eat oysters in Australia. The first is in George Town.
Highly recommended.

Superb fish and chips, so good we ordered a second portion despite being full! We ate at a fancy Greek restaurant in Hobart the night before, food was five times the price, served cold and uninspired. Dinner tonight at Tasmanian Coastal Seafoods was vastly superior. Fantastic service too, highly recommended.
