I recently fell in love with Coffee Mentality, conveniently near my office. Making it a routine to grab a mocha, what stands out is their exceptional customer service. The staff consistently serves with a smile, whether it's morning, afternoon, or evening, adding a delightful touch to each visit.

Coffee Mentality has truly captured my coffee-loving heart! This small business has an impressive knack for crafting the perfect cup of coffee, leaving me consistently satisfied with every sip.

What sets them apart, though, is their admirable commitment to sustainability, ethics, and kindness. It's inspiring to see them not only prioritizing high-quality coffee but also working closely with coffee growers in the Philippines to improve their lives.

Supporting a business with such values aligns perfectly with my preferences. Additionally, the fact that they offer tasting experiences to delve deeper into the world of coffee and barista training is fantastic; it's something my husband and I have on our to-do list. Bringing their award-winning beans home is always a treat, as they never fail to deliver an exceptional coffee experience. Coffee Mentality is more than just a coffee shop; it's a commitment to excellence and positive impact that never disappoints.

My experience with Coffee Mentality has been nothing short of spectacular. They're some of the nicest and most passionate people I've met and the coffee experience was genuinely eye-opening and such a fun time! Hayato gave us the experience and he went above and beyond to answer all our questions, even pulling out some of the homegrown coffee fruits to let us have a look. We got to try two different coffees made in a V60 and a twice filtered coldbrew, as well as some cascara tea and the candied fruit (which was delicious)!!

I really enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend the experience to any and all coffee lovers!!!!

My favourite place to come for coffee. The baristas always brighten my day so much and the coffee is always so good.

My wife booked a "Tasting Flight by IAN" as a birthday outing. It wasn't on a Wednesday, but been my birthday, Ian and the team was more than accommodating to do a special tasting on the Tuesday.

From the start to finish we all were captivated by the energy and passion Ian has for coffee. He is very willing to share stories about his journey, what he has learned and what he is doing in the whole of the coffee industry and supply chain.

You can feel the enthusiasm Ian has for all things coffee related and what a difference and innovation he is spearheading in a very difficult and challenging industry.

Can't wait to hang out with the Coffee Mentality team soon and see where they are heading.

GO THERE! You won't be disappointed, worth a detour. Did the tasting experience and Ian and Hayato took us on an amazing journey passionately explaining a lot about how they would like to change the coffee industry. Innovative ideas so in the end the farmers can benefit too. Got to taste 3 very interesting single origin coffee varieties that I would never have tasted anywhere else. They also showcased they are true pioneers by creating unique and innovative products like the 'clear brew', 'coffee berry candy' and more. Impressed, 10/10!

Had an amazing experience at the coffee degustation. Learnt so much from the owner who is truly passionate. Highly reccomend to do the coffee tasting or just stop for a cup of coffee and good vibes!

I have known this cafe for many years and love their coffee! Their service is great and coffee is even better! What makes this business also unique is that they are involved in fair trade and the Brisbane coffee growing project which I've never heard of until I started having coffee from this cafe! I now feel I supporting not only the cafe business but also coffee sustainability in Australia whenever I drink their wonderful coffee.....you might want to try it out yourself....won't regret at all. Simply the best!

We are not from Brisbane but often travel there for business and coffee shops are a dime a dozen but after sampling many meagre cups I was almost ready to give up when I was fortunate to discover Coffee Mentality. These days I actually look for excuses to goto Brisbane to have a coffee (or two) and there is only one place I would visit now. Whilst I realise that there is a massive team effort going on behind the scenes I am just blown away by the skills & passion that Matt has towards his role (profession/art/magic) & each and everytime I visit he provides us with coffee perfection. I rarely comment online because I’m not socially interactive but I feel compelled to tell people about these guys. If you are like me & really into coffee, make sure you check this place out, you won’t be disappointed. If you are not into coffee, go check this place out & the Barista will change your outlook. The only problem I can see with Coffee Mentality is that it’s about 2 hours from my place & now I need to find more excuses to trek down there. As someone who’s been on a coffee journey for decades now I can say I’ve finally found Coffee Nirvana. Thankyou Matt & Team, now I better get back to plotting my next trip to Brisbane 👍

Ian and Hayato delivered a beautifully personal experience, all in the name of coffee! Tailored to be up close and personal, this tasting room session gave us a new perspective on coffee and everything surrounding the process. From tree to table, Ian and Hayato were able to introduce a new mentality about coffee that I will be thinking of every time I have a sip! The energy from these guys is like no other. Can’t wait to come back!

This is my favourite place. The staff are wonderful, the owner unfortunately comes across as unsustainable and vacant to the wants of society.
Only offering plastic cups for cold drinks, dining in, is unusual and extremely wasteful.

Hayato took us on a fun tour of their clear cold brew, some delicious filter brews, and Cascara (the skin of the coffee cherry). Lots of great discussion about flavours and preparation.

Definitely recommended for coffee lovers of all levels.

A very informative session and definitely worth going to. So cool to see all the ways you can save the wastage on coffee and thought the process was explained brilliantly. Must try for everyone who loves coffee!
