Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary! There are so many koalas here through out the sanctuary😅 A whole lot of other animals also. Big grassland area which is absolutely full of kangaroos. Families would love it here on a day out. Crocodiles dingoes and even farm animals. Thanks Koala Sanctuary🥰

This is a Koala Sanctuary rather than a zoo - so whilst there are other species there, these are not the focus of exhibits. But if you love Koala, look no further. This place is a gem. It is clear that the staff are knowledgeable and really care about the animals in their charge, and the environment was beautiful.

We had a behind the scenes guided tour - a ‘Discovery Tour’ - and were guided by Elle. She was friendly and a perfect guide, sharing her knowledge and information at the right level for a diverse group. She was organised and kept us all on time and in line.

Whilst there, Elle noticed one of the elderly Koala had sneezed and produced nasal discharge. She immediately flagged this on the radio and a more senior colleague arrived within 60 secs to give the Koala some support. It was lovely to see.

We also got to hold a Koala, and it was evident that this is approached carefully and considerately. The animals were not stressed and are looked after by their keepers to make sure they were happy and safe. A lovely experience which we will never forget. Thanks

Wonderful experience all around. We went first on a weekday for the koala and raptor encounters which were great. The kangaroo area was also really cool.
Went back a few days later for the nocturnal tour which was incredible. Emily was very fun and kept things lively while we waited for the previous group to finish. The staff as a whole were extremely knowledgeable and had so much information on all the animals as we saw them in their most active time of day. Any other zoo or sanctuary I’ve been to you see these animals sleeping. On the nocturnal tour they give you thermal cameras to find them, red torches to illuminate the animals without disturbing them which were also great for taking pictures. The animals were active, feeding and very interested in the tour group.

Very cool experience.
10/10 would recommend.

A great platinum tour. Anna was the best guide. A six hour tour with a maximum of six people. I’ve never seen so many Koalas and Kangaroos in my life. We got to interact with Koalas, Kangaroos and many other animals. We got to go be hind the scenes. It was the tour to end all tours. Expensive but amazing.

One of the best zoos ever, especially if you want to hold a koala bear and feed kangaroos. Have never seen so many koala bears in one zoo. And close up too. Great way to see Australian bred animals. Also saw the platypus for the first time along with a tree kangaroo and a kookaburra.

Lone Pine is probably my favorite place that I visited in Australia. The staff were incredibly friendly, and helped out us at every corner. I would highly recommend the koala tour, as it gives much behind-the-scenes knowledge. The koalas seemed very happy and content. The kangaroos were very friendly, and it was very fun to feed them. A great experience for us.

Highly recommend the Koala Discovery Tour. You get a VIP behinds-the-scenes tour of the Koala care, including a brief discussion of their care, food, and habits. You get to first go into the Koala paddocks and take pictures up close and personal near the Koalas. Then you get to have your picture taken with a Koala as well. It was great experience and well worth the time and fee. You have to buy these tickets in advance online - it is highly unlikely that you can buy them at the park.

FYI - the Discovery Tour fee does not include the park entrance fee.

What a lovely place. The amount of Koalas is stunning. But there are other animals to be seen as well. Lots of birds, bats, reptiles etc. We were also very lucky to see the Tasmanian devils - we did not manage to do so in Tasmania ;-)

Been here twice already! It's well worth the money! There's a section to walk amongst and feed the kangaroos, they are very chilled out and don't mind making new friends! Also lots of koalas around in the trees, mainly sleeping or eating but that's what they do to be fair. Price seems to have gone up to $54 from $49 but might be due to the summer season.

Reasonably priced
Recommend to do it with the Mirimar cruise
Plenty of animals
Recommend this over the Currumbin wildlife sanctuary
My son love the animal shows
Difficult to get the hug the koala shoot so I recommend booking it early at counter 19 (see the map) it’s near the entrance where the cruise boat alights you

Don't miss the chance to buy small food packages for kangaroos at the front desk for just $2 each—it's a delightful experience feeding these friendly creatures. My kids absolutely loved the kangaroo feeding event, adding an extra layer of joy to our visit. Lone Pine Sanctuary offers not only a diverse array of animals but also interactive and memorable moments for the whole family. Highly recommend this zoo for a fun and educational day out! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Koalas everywhere! Lots of other various animals, great free presentations, as well as extra-cost experiences such as holding a koala (no-cost chance to stand next to, and touch, one.) You can get up close and personal with kangaroos, and feed them, if you like. Allow 3-4 hours to experience it all. Tip: slots to hold a koala are very limited, so get there early and go right to the experiences desk to buy your ticket.

Great park, we have spent more than 4 hours here. I can not recommend the lorikeet feeding enough, so much fun, amazing seeing all the birds up close. Look up the feeding times beforehand, there is one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The other shows are also recommendable, very educational Koala talk and predator show.

Amazing experience, koalas everywhere even a photo booth where you can hold a Koala for a picture. Freerange petting Kangaroo & emu. This is not only for kids, its a fantastic time to connect with a part of nature you normally can't access.

Thanks to the staff who seem to take good care of their animals guests.

Month of visit: September 2023

A perfect place if you want to see koalas and take picture with them.
Ideal for families and bringing your kids to see koalas! You can also feed the kangaroos.

There is a student price for the ticket, still a bit expensive for me but i understand the price and facilities.

Recommended to visit when you are in Brisbane!

It’s a lovely place to interact with Kangaroos 😍 You can feed them, take a photo with a koala (paying an extra fee) and see other animals shows. The sanctuary is large, so save at least half day to enjoy it. There’s a bus coming from Brisbane city that stops inside the sanctuary. It’s quite convenient!

Had an absolutely AMAZING day!! We decided to go all in on the platinum package and it was 4000% worth it!!
The whole team was super lovely, we had Rachel as our guide who told us so many amazing things about the animals and information about conservation. There is clearly a lot of love for every single one of the animals.
The site is surprisingly wheelchair accessible, there's still a few lumps and bumps that need figuring out but we were able to do everything and the staff figured out any problems with no fuss.
We were treated to food from the cafe which was generous and delicious. Got lots of photos! I think one of the great things about doing the package deal was going round all the animals rather than just getting distracted by the koala's... Which is very easy to do!
No matter tiny lizards up to huge birds and kangaroo's everything is looked after and cared for. Loved it!!

Best place to hold a koala and feed kangaroos. Lots of other animals too, along with a sheep dog show. Good cage for hot food.

We loved our visit today. Plenty of animals to see and nice demonstrations and displays. Of course we came for the Koalas and we were not disappointed with nearly 100 Koalas to see. Paying to hold the Koala and have a family photo was very well worth it. But we also enjoyed the dingos and platypus and Tasmanian devil as well as all the birds and farm animals.
