Breakfast Creek Hotel

Great way to start the New Year with lunch at the Breakfast Creek Hotel. Staff were awesome and accommodating. Our original table was wet upon arrival after the morning downpour and we were moved to inside the bar area. Our meals were great, steaks were cooked to perfection and meals were reasonably priced.

Great steak! Rib fillet was cooked perfectly, baked potato best I had in a while and peppercorn sauce was thick with good flavour . We were in Spanish Garden on a Friday evening. Our food came out in good time.

A reliable venue, today unfortunately we were greeted by a rude young man who had a couldn't care less attitude as he flicked his hand toward a table next to mens toilet. We did however receive excellent service from Ewan, Lynne and Freddy who made the whole experience enjoyable with their fantastic positive attitude and helpfulness.

The Breakfast Creek Spanish Garden is a revered Brisbane institution. However, the food and service in my most recent visit were outstanding. The beer was cold, the food was first class. The servers were friendly, attentive and kept glasses full of drink. The best part is that the decor never changes; and that is how institutions are protected.

But staff were amazing and professional finding us a table without a booking after we had driven a fair way from down the coast. Meals were great. The only thing would be more parking.

Probably the best steak 🥩 I ate long time ago; The flavour of the meat was just delicious. Also ordered a brisket burger 🍔 and the kids chicken nuggets and they were average. The service was veeeery long (40 mins+) however the final product steak (eye fillet medium rare) was 10/10

Food was great. Service friendly but a little slow. Late Saturday afternoon, place was packed but I hadn't expected so many people to be eating. Iconic Australian pub doing what it does best. The steaks are amazing!

We had a lovely Melbourne cup lunch here. Venue is beautiful. Staff are lovely and attentive. Steaks were delicious and cooked to liking. I did have a small issue with my meal but was quickly rectified

Enjoyed a delicious and satisfying lunch at the Staghorn Beer Garden. A kind waiter bought my baby daughter a glass of apple juice. 🍎
The chicken parmigiana was served in a generous portion with a soft bread roll and tasty cole slaw. 🐔 The fresh oysters were superb. Service was swift and friendly. Very popular venue, already very full by 11.30 a.m. Book ahead to avoid disappointment. 📱
On the dear side, but to be expected for such a historical establishment in an upmarket area.

This is a place i have wanted to visit for a while now and to me it didn’t disappoint. Yes the steaks are a little dearer but no dearer than most places. The drinks prices are on par with most places too. But both my steak and my wife’s steak that we could view in the window in the kitchen were cooked perfectly. I couldn’t ask for any better. If you want to whinge about the price and get cheaper steaks then go to Woolworths and buy their minute boot rubber steaks and cook at home yourself.me i will go back again without a problem.

This place serves the best steaks you can possibly get. First came here in the 1970s and happy to discover it's still going strong. Highly recommend if you want a great steak. Excellent wine list also.

300gm Eye Fillet. Diane sauce. Exquisite. Service exceptional. Ambience first class. Reasonable wine prices. I ate alone in the Spanish Garden. Felt special. Thanks.

We went to the brekky creek for lunch yesterday and it was a super hot day (mid 30s in the shade and high humidity). One of the wait staff Leigh went out of her way to find us a cooler table in the shade so our dog wasn’t too hot. She made sure he had water and kept checking in that he was ok and not too hot. Very kind of her 10/10

Went here for the first time a couple days ago, food was incredible as was service. The restaurant itself is quite mesmerising to look at. Definitely going back again!

The food in the Spanish Garden was amazing. Best piece of steak I have had in a long time. Service was good as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My partner had the tomahawk steak and polished it clean .. would highly recommend this place and the staff were extremely friendly .. excellent service we couldn't fault .. will definitely be going back

Very nice old pub, known for excellent steaks, the Eye Fillet was great,big screen in the beer garden with the Cricket on was good, also visited the Rum Bar and sampled one of the many choices on offer
