Captain's at the Bay

We had fantastic experience staying here. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and well maintained. When we arrived we were greeted by a very helpful and knowledgeable member of staff at reception who pointed out good walking trails and some suggestions for where we might like to eat. We stayed in the Captain's Cottage (one of several chalet-like options at the property) and were welcomed with a selection of treats, including some adorable local chocolates. Breakfast was delicious and served in a well presented room with fascinating local details. Altogether, a really well-run hotel with great attention to detail. We'd definitely stay here again when next in the area.

What can I say. We absolutely loved this place. The two most important things to me are cleanliness and very comfy beds. This place hit it out of the park. The rest of the place was just icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!

We spent one night at Captain’s at the Bay but would have happily stayed longer. We stayed in the Cottage. It was large with a luxurious, spa like feel. The furniture was comfortable and lovely. Good toiletries, excellent bed, and delicious full service, hot breakfast with non stop coffee.
Recommend!!

Great hotel with helpful friendly couple running it. Very nice clean rooms and an excellent breakfast. On site guest laundry was especially helpful.

The owners Natasha and Jack are extremely welcoming and accommodating.

The rooms were very well kept and a beautiful cosy location right down the street from the waterfront!

Captains is where you must stay if visiting Apollo bay! This place has all the things you hope for, beautiful, modern spacious room on the top deck. Great shower. A big thank you to our hosts Duncan and Anna for being so welcoming. We missed brekky because we were so relaxed. We will come back for sure though, we found a gem.

Amazing place! Room was very clean, warm and has great view. There's also a balcony for you to admire the night sky (full of stars) or sunrise. Breakfast was also amazing and the owners were super friendly. The place is also very accessible to other restaurants and mart. Amazing place!

Absolutely loved this place! Duncan escorted us to our room and was so gracious. Convenient to everything. Bathroom had a 2 headed shower and there were beautiful plush robes to enjoy. Breakfast was wonderful... eggs cooked to order. Anna was so kind and gracious. We enjoyed the lovely chocolate koalas they left for us. Wish we could have stayed at least one more night. We felt like welcomed guests in their home!

Captain’s at the Bay is perfect. The room is kept in top notch condition and the furnishing is modern. Very comfortable to stay too. This hotel is stated as a 3 star hotel on google but I feel it is at least 4 stars. The rates was quite reasonable at A$170 per night and even included breakfast

Fantastic B&B in beautiful Apollo Bay. The room was spotless and there were lots of thoughtful touches in this family run accommodation. Biggest bonus was a cooked breakfast before checking out. Would definitely return. Only qualm I had was the door-less shower meant a bit of a wet mess in the bathroom which made it quite slippery.

I had the pleasure of meeting owners Duncan and Anna, beautiful, honest and accommodating people. They went above and beyond to ensure my family’s stay was enjoyable. We stayed in the top deck, rooms were clean and spacious.
Definitely be back.

If I could add more stars to rate this hotel, I think ill give 10 stars instead of 5. The room and premise were clean, carpet was really well maintained, and bed was so comfortable !

I cant thank Duncan and Anna enough for their kind gesture. Their scrambled eggs with bacon n tomatoes were something we really appreciated. It warmed our morning :)

We went there with my partner for my birthday and were pleasantly amazed at the great quality of service we received. We were running late and informed the reception. Once we arrived, the staff had already put on the heating for us and it was such a nice thing to arrive to after a cold night.

We stayed at Captain’s Cottage and it was extremely clean, and had everything in it we needed. The windows are also double glazed so there was great sound isolation and we had a good undisturbed sleep!

We had an excellent stay with Anna and Duncan. Beautiful, clean and well-appointed room, but it was the wonderful personal service and local recommendations that they provided that made all the difference. Breakfast was really first-rate too! If anything, we wished that we had stayed an extra night so that we could have better explored all that the area offers.
