Motel Marengo

We stayed in the basic unit and were impressed by the Super Clean beds and overall rooms. Parking is right in front of the room so it is so easy.
Suggest the owner to add in a common laundry for guest for longer stays.

Great little motel and great price. Friendly staff. Room was very clean. Great setup in the room with kitchenette and large bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was wonderful. Close to the beach and not far from Apollo Bay. Will definitely stay there again. 😁

Would definitely recommend this hotel, if you're after a 3 star, well maintained, clean stay, a couple blocks from the beach.

We booked this motel at the last moment and didn't expect much. This motel was well maintained and quite clean. The room was equipped with freeze, microwave oven, utensils.
There is a common swimming pool and spa. The hot spa can be used from 2.30pm to dusk. The motel is very close to the beach, just 2 minutes walking distance.
We enjoyed staying here.

This motel is very conveniently located along the Great Ocean Road. Check-in and check-out were seamless and this enabled us to concentrate on our journey.

Owner Alan provide well rounded services, receptionist Maggie is friendly and sweet. Facility BBQ and swimming pool are suitable for family to enjoy quality time. It’s fun to watch parrots gather by the fences in the morning. Overall, I really enjoy my stay here.

Absolutely perfect hotel for the price you pay! Our rate was $79 for the night in may, key was waiting at our door, room was clean, kitchenette with everything you need, wifi was good, big tv, air con worked well, shower was hot. Literally can’t complain about a thing!

Lovely place with affordable prices. Motel is conveniently located along Great Ocean Road and has many amenities. We loved the electric blanket!

Firstly we had booked this accommodation for March 2020 & we’re pleased that Alan happily still honoured our booking after 20 months.
Proximity excellent for our itinerary. Rooms a little dated, however clean, comfortable & quiet.
Loved the morning bird life being fed by owners.
Excellent showers.
Friendly & respectful staff.
Look forward to visiting & staying again.

Lovely clean motel and nice staff. The pool was great, and it was nice to have native parrots visit on the fences. We went prior to Christmas holiday craziness and the rates were more reasonable. Will be back :)

Very nice place. Did not use the pool but soaked our feet in the "warm" tub after a long day of driving and walking. The room was spacious enough and did not disappoint.

We stayed 4 nights 5 months ago. By mistake I posted the review on the Marengo Caravan Park site. So I know this review is 5 months late but I wanted to correct my mistake. Here goes:

Alan the manager gave us great information for day trips. The room was excellent value, the high standard beds and linen helped for a restful sleep. Shower pressure was good and the water was always just right. For the best rates ring the motel direct. Thanks, we hope to be back soon.

As a motel, its definitely the cleanest ive been to.
It has all the needs of a family on holiday.
Close to the town centre.
Restaurants and walking distance to the beach.
The staff are friendly. Not that you need them much but are there when you do.
It has a pool, usually quite clean and not so busy.
Rooms have adequate space for 2 kids and 2 adults.
I will be back, and would highly recommend this place.
Only thing i could say that would make this place and all beach side inn's perfect, would be a dryer on premises and hire able boards for the beach.
That would make life so much easier.
Apart from that, beds are comfy, showers are well pressured. Definetly would be 1st option for my return.

We had a very friendly welcome by Kevin, great communication how to get there. Easy to find on the main road on the outskirts of town. This small boutique motel is a gem. Everything is spotless, the beds very comfortable, there is heating and cooling and Foxtel. There are all essentials and the most beautiful fresh thick towels. We can highly recommend this place and will stay again when we come this way.
