Came in for lunch with my elderly Nan. The staff were so lovely and went out of their way to meet her special requests. The food was fantastic and affordable.

Such a great pub. One of my favourites in Hobart. It has a really good atmosphere, delicious food and drinks and friendly service.

Didn't stay here but came for meals twice. Dinner and lunch selections are varied and VERY tasty. Prices are competitive and specials of the day are always changing.

We just had a beer which was excellent. But a big thanks to the lovely staff who gave us some insights for visiting Bruny Island.

The staff were very friendly. The meals were magnificent. The room was a little cool, but there were fires going, which were amazing. It's better than being too hot.

BEST PUB MEAL and BEST SERVICE!
My husband and I ordered the duck spring rolls as an entree, and then we had a super beef schnitzel and the wallaby steaks and veg. The meals melted in our mouths and were just delicious. The service was top tier from our waitress. I want to say her name was Sarah. I didn’t get a chance to ask her name. She was just amazing! 10/10 We can’t wait to come back 💜

We had a meal at the Cascade Hotel last night and it was just great. Between our group we ordered several parmigianas, schnitzels and a steak and we were all really happy with our meals. Some of us struggled to finish, the meals were so big!
The staff and the environment were also so friendly. Highly recommend as a relaxed place to enjoy a meal out, especially if you've just finished walking the Overland Track :)

Highly recommend the Cascade Hotel for meals. We went there with our three children for dinner, and the staff were fantastic. They had table service for drinks and meals which is very handy when we have a two year old who likes to wander if we get up to go to the bar. The meals we’re great priced and absolutely delicious. I had the chicken parmi, and I would confidently say it’s the best I’ve had.

The food here was amazing! I tried the duck roll entrée which was pretty tasty but the mains sticky pork ribs were perfect. Also, make sure you try their sticky date pudding. It's mixed with chocolate chips and is possibly the best sticky date pudding I've ever had! The portions were great and worth the price. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Excellent pub to try.

And they say things change too quickly...Sicey's Super Schnitzel still on the menu! The Cascade Hotel ticks all the pub boxes. Get there.

This place is magnificent. Mel has done a wonderful job of continuing the great meals, service and atmosphere that the Hotel has been famous for so many years. The service is great, the setting is great and the food in fantastic! Even when busy, your meal is always served promptly and is delicious. Extensive menu catering for all tastes & then there's the dessert! Must try is the chocolate brownies!!

Awesome little hotel, service was very good,& so was the lunch. First time tasting wallaby burger, very very tasty. 100% happy customer.

The food was lovely beautiful steaks cooked to perfection and kids meals were large. Beautiful chunky chips. All new owners and staff were lovely and friendly. There was someone to greet us at the door not like before with unfriendly service where we had to order at the bar, its all changed around and has a brand-new betting area and has been revamped inside from drab to fab. Could breathe for a change because the tables aren't pushed together like before. Had a wonderful time. Highly recommend. My kids loved it too. Have been coming here for 25 years and it's better than ever. Great Menu.

I was really surprised by how good the food was. They had ribs that were better than anything I tasted in America. My friends said the Burger's were amazing too. As a pub should be, a good choice of beers on tap. Good atmosphere, and really good service.

Firstly, the staff are faultless, helpful and very courteous. Not just one, all.
The pub still has its original charm. Seems like it has been this way forever and still has decades old fittings. That doesn't mean the food is basic fair as I had a rabbit that was delicious and wouldn't be out of place in any modern gastropub. $28 for the large

The dining room is very noisy but the bar is quieter, which is where I are thanks to a recommendation by the brilliant staff.
Recommended if you're up in South Hobart.

Fantastic pub! Meals are huge. They use fresh ingredients. Menu has great variety. Drinks are reasonably priced. Great for dining with family or friends.

You know, some "counter meal" pubs are just that, but the Cascade Hotel has nicely evolved into a bistro. We were pleasantly surprised at how much the new owners have improved the dining area. Real (and not plastic) friendly staff genuinely anticipate and make you feel "at home" The food is delicious, we recommend you make a booking.

Spent many a pleasant evening here having food and a drink.Staff are super friendly and the food is very tasty,love the roasts!
