Childers Free RV Camp

Well laid out with drive-through sites. Clean and well maintained. Public toilet within 100 metres. Childers is a pretty town, with a multitude of shopping, eating, and drinking options. It is an easy drive to Brisbane and the Gold Coast from there. Highly recommended.

Easy to find, Free parking, dumpsite, two playgrounds, skatepark and close to toilets. Perfekt reststop!

Awesome place for a nites stop over. A bit of noise from the Cane trains but nice to hear the industry still going well.
The facility is great if you need water.

Close to town for shopping. ✔

Such a great facility, serving the travelling grey nomads. Really friendly people in local businesses who care about visitors.

Check out the excellent coffee & pies at the top bakery.

If you’re early enough, pop on down to the lower bakery (near the Commonwealth Bank) and buy a bag of their renowned lamingtons, before they sell out!

Really fresh and they keep too - unless the rest of the family know you have them!!!!!

Great that council can make land available for us to stop safely. It allowed us to spend money at the local shops. Isn't that a win-win for us all. As councils up and down the country are stopping the driver reviver lications it makes good sense to have us stop, revive, refresh and drive on safely. Big congrats to Childers council.

Love an RV friendly town. Childers is the best, friendliest well maintained country town I have visited. Despite the sad event that happened there. 2 great bakeries too!!

Easy parking lovely place and people

Close to main street which is the Bruce Hwy and can be a little noisy with trucks at night but still a great location to walk to everything in Childers. Dump point and if you are early enough it is a fully bitumen level area. There is a grassed area across the road also but again need to be early to get a spot. Very popular!!

We loved this free camping in Childers, close to the amenities and town centre, we'll stay again and recommend it to our friends and fellow travellers

Second time we have stayed here in Childers, it is a charming little town and so friendly. The campsites are spacious and there are 2 sites opposite each one is bitumen the other grass, toilets are very close as are garbage bins, there is a street library and shops and clubs are all a close walk. This town is a model of how to run a successful town, what a credit to the chamber of commerce and all the residents. I just love this quirky little town 👍👍👍👍👍

We had one night here and had a great nights sleep. Spent some money in the town and had a look at the history the town has to offer. Will stay again. Be early it can get busy.

Great fee park behind the main street of town. There is a Green grass area and also a bitumen area with designated spots. Nice and quiet.

Very well organised here in Childers. Lots of room plus dump point and good, clean amenities. A very short walk to town where you can find everything you need. Thanks to all concerned, we will definitely be returning as we have always loved Childers ever since our first festival here. So friendly and welcoming

What a great place to pull up for the night. Night out within walking distance to the whole street for food drinks and entertainment.

Fantastic location jus behind the main street. Toilets less than 40m away. Easy access with water and a dump point. 10/10 To the Childers council for a lovely maintained rest stop.

Heaps of tourists travelling and pretty packed but is very safe as so many travelers.
