Childers is a beautiful quaint little town.... so well kept and loved

I purchased a carton of beer from Bottlemart Childers on Thursday and found that it tasted off on Friday night, it was six months past it's use by date. Upon returning it I was given the run around and finally had it replaced without any real apology. The new carton had more than seven months before it was out of date, so therefore the carton that I purchased had been in the store for more than twelve months.
Considering that it was a sixty kilometer trip for me to return the beer and that I had to drive another thirty kilometers to buy a carton elsewhere Friday night, then the run around upon returning it, not to mention the manager realizing that there is a problem with the store thanks to my misfortune, you would think that a decent apology was in order but No.
I guess local customers aren't that valued anymore.
