Childers Gateway Motor Inn

Excellent facilities and rooms. The beds were so comfortable, we had to buy one. They were very accomodating for people travelling with trailers or trucks. The pool was very inviting and we really appreciated it after a hot day travelling. I have recommended many of my family and friends, to use this motel whilst travelling to see us.

A great motel . Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Parking is very good if you are towing a boat or trailer. Managers were very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay there again without hesitation. Great stop for us between A and B. Thank you.

Friendly helpful staff, great size of room. Everything was immaculate, clean, tidy etc
Comfortable bed. Good seating with table was an asset.
Yummy breakfast gave it even more points.
The facility had drinks and nibbles for sale and a very clean useful kitchen for patrons.
+ washing machines.
Visitors guide was excellent, restuarants etc with menus.

Extremely lovely service and very accommodating to a late arrival.
Plenty of off street parking for our van so we didn’t need to unhitch and felt it was secure for the night.
Room was really clean and beds super good quality

The beds are nice and comfortable. The outside grass area is great to relax on (there’s a table) and it’s especially nice in the afternoon. It’s great to see some environmental considerations too. Looks like the bathrooms have recently been renovated, they’re lovely!

The staff we have engaged with over recent visits have all been wonderful and the amenities on site are generous. There is also plenty of parking. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Childers then this is definitely the best option.

This motel was a very pleasant surprise. Bed was beautifully comfortable, and triple sheeted which is amazing, usually reserved for luxury hotels. Everything you needed was supplied including beautiful toiletries in the bathroom. We ordered breakfast in the morning and it was fresh and tasty. A wonderful experience and we would recommend without a doubt. Hopefully we will get back there one day.

For a 3.5 star motel this place in incredible! Great room which was clean and private. Service was friendly and fast. Price was excellent. Only concern was some road noise from next door service station but this would only affect a couple rooms near front of the motel. It is further from the Bruce highway than many.

Just stayed one night as travelling through. Room was clean. Fantastic shower. Shampoo/conditioner and body wash supplied. Nice comfy bed. Walls are a little thin as you can hear your neighbours but very happy with our stay.

The room was clean and fresh, little strange without a shower door, but no problem with water going everywhere. The in room breakfast was lovely. No road noise either.

Perfect stopover between Rockhampton and Brisbane. The entire motel is gorgeous lowset brick with parking in front of your room, the room was spacious and in pristine condition, and staff at reception were lovely to deal with. Will definitely be stopping in the next time I travel through.

One of the Best Motor Ins I have stayed at despite not having an onsite Restaurant. The Room was furnished with all I needed and the bed was the most Luxurious I have had the pleasure of sleeping on without doubt. Reception could not help me more if they tried. Thank You and I will be back.

This is our go to place for a stopover after racing in Brisbane on our way back north. Clean rooms, spacious and very easy to access, even arriving after hours no issues at all.

My sister and l stayed here for a night. The staff service is outstanding, the rooms very clean and welcoming. We loved the quiet location up on the hill. We both slept well in your comfortable beds. Thank you

The beds are superb to sleep on. I’ve never slept on such a comfy hotel/motel bed before. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Rooms are spacious and clean with great Wifi. I’d highly recommend the place for anyone needing a good nights sleep after a long drive as it’s very peaceful and quiet yet close to town. I’d definitely stay here again if passing through Childers and need a break.

Staff were professional and friendly, rooms were very clean and modern feel even though it is not a new establishment, you can tell the owners take pride in there business. Was a stress free stay that I would book again.

Owners were very accommodating and service was excellent. A lovely friendly atmosphere for our 3 day stay. Could walk into Childers. One of the pet friendly rooms suited us well and the home made tomato sauce is delicious. Highly recommend.

This was our 2nd time staying here this time for almost a week . There isn't alot for kids to do there but my 4 kids made there own fun and didn't want to go home 🤣 . The pool they enjoyed and I loved the communal kitchen was a great meeting point to chat with other guests . Had plenty of cutlery and cooking equipment . The owners are lovely and friendly and I would recommend this place to anyone and I highly recommend people stay a few days and fully explore childers ..there is actually alot to do there .we hope to have another holiday here again 1 day .

We have stayed here twice now. Lovely clean rooms and very friendly staff/owners. Our room was lovely and quiet, just what you need after a long drive! Our meals were delivered to our room and of excellent quality and quantity. Will stay here again next time we make this trip. Well done Gateway Motor Inn:)
