Exceptionally clean and a very comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful with good recommendations for what's available in the area. I left my phone charger behind and the staff let me know and had it returned to me by mail which I very much appreciated. I would definitely stay there again.

When I got told "the beds are comfortable", I thought yeah yeah. But I was so surprised, it was the most comfortable sleep I have had in any motel/hotel. Even my own bed isn't as good.

Facilities and amenities all great. Pet friendly rooms available so we were able to stay with our dog on a road trip from Nth QLD to Brisbane.

What a gem of a motel. Very comfy. Great shower with separate toilet. Microwave, toaster, kettle, iron. Ring to book - don’t use booking app and you will get extra discount. Barry is very friendly but professional. We’ll be back. 💕

Place is clean and tidy. Beds are very comfortable. Can't understand what others mean by noisy. I've stayed in both wings at different times and have no problem with road noise. Great little BBQ area overlooking the valley and owners only too happy to help out with condiments etc for a great barbie. I've stayed at this place about 5 times now and have nothing but praise for the friendly, accommodating staff.

This motel is under new Management, Barry was amazing, very accommodating, we have a dog who we were traveling with and he was able to stay no problems, Barry even offered to babysit him whilst we went for dinner. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the showers were great. Thanks Barry, hope to see you again one day.

We loved it. The hosts are awesome. A very nice friendly couple. Perfect location for a roadside stop when you're passing through Childers. The view from the BBQ area is worth the stop by itself. Thanks Barry

Avocado Motel is a must stay over at Childers. We were lucky enough to score 2 nights & the manager was amazing, so helpful, nothing was a problem. The view from the BBQ area was incredible. The room was extremely clean. Even a microwave supplied in the room. It was very close to everything. I even left my glasses behind & was contacted & it was not a problem for him. Thank you we will return.

Very friendly hosts (with a very friendly dog), only too happy to do whatever was needed for us to be comfortable. A nice little spot to get some rest as we passed through. The room was clean, tidy and we had everything we needed.

Ok it's not some highrise on the glitter strip, but I think it's better, a small country motel with charm, close to the supermarket (walking distance) The new owner Barry and his adorable side kick Milly (scruffy puppy) are fabulous hosts.
My room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, there was tea and coffee, what more do you need :)
I look forward to staying again, maybe next time I will take my puppy to play with Milly :)

My wife and I stopped at the Avacado Motel on our way south from Cairns to Brisbane for a one night stay. We found it to be clean and neat with a very comfortable bed and easy parking. The lady at the desk was personable and friendly. We will stay again if we find ourselves travelling through Childers. The only downside is the close proximity to the truck route. That said this was a reasonably priced, nice accomodation, all things considered.

So lovely to have a good bed and crisp sheets after travelling. Hosts were welcoming and easy to find on the highway. Great price for a spontaneous stop.

The Avocado is the place to stay in Childers. We had a extremely pleasant stay and it was a big plus for us that they are pet friendly. They also have a very welcoming and informative management team that makes you feel at home.
We will be back next time.

Travelling late contacted avocado motor inn to see if anything available for 2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs, owner was very nice had one room left. Room very clean, super comfy beds could not fault, and enough room for all of us, had seperate toilet room which you dont see very often in motels, very enjoyable stay, decided to have bbq breakfast overlooking valley before checking out 10am. I would highly recommend this motel to stay at.

Affordable accomodation and friendly service. Barry helped us with a last minute booking for a dog friendly room. There is an excellent bbq area with beautiful views. Everything we needed for an overnight stay.

We stayed 3 nights over xmas period. Very friendly and welcoming manager. Rooms very clean. Nothing was a problem. Provided information about available food outlets. Free WiFi. Easy access. Close to all amenities. Will book again when next in Childers.
