Childers Rest Area

Great for an easy quick or overnight stop. IGA, Bakery’s and other shops within 700m.
Toilets 100m, and clean.

With a dump point, town water tap and plenty of parking this rest area is one of the best. Very close to the main road of Childers which offers great coffee shops and bakeries.

Childers is beautiful. large RV area. pet friendly. playground for the kids. lots of shaded Ares in the park. toilets available and easy to access. free parking . only a street back from main road and a 2 minute walk to all shops and banks.

So nice when travelling and wanting a place to chill. You can camp on grass and stay there overnight. There’s even a mango tree and a public library box. Bbq, toilets, playground, picnic tables, and all of this in the center of Childers ! The dream

A great free rest stop overnight. The toilets are just past the play park and are very clean. Felt safe and quiet all night.

This is a great rest stop. Well maintained, conveniently in the town centre. Very clean, too.

Close to shops, restaurants and restrooms

Lots of parking for all sized vehicles, including buses. Overnight parking close by. Short walk into Childers via the restroom and picnic area.

Excellent spacious spot to park the RV and walk by the amenities to the amazing INSANE COFFEE SHOP for a great coffee and take in an amazing eclectic experience.

Great little place with lots of shade and a playground and clean toilets. It's also near the shops.

Can't help ourselves, had to stop and have a break. After a steak and mushroom, a chunky steak, 2 beastingers 2 coffees we are both full as ticks. Excellent bakery with açceptional service, kb

Nice place to stay. Lovely town.

Good spot, quiet overnight (Fri & Sat night for my stay).
Cane rail behind; It must've been just before cutting season, as no trains.

Mainly caravan/bus parking, but some campervans and other setups will also make use of.
2 areas - one bitumen, the other grass.
Good toilets nearby.

You can get a shower at the Ampol Roadhouse a mile east, for a few dollars.

Terrific RV stop. Close to the centre of town. Clean and tidy dump point. Drive through parking for vans.

You need to get there early for a spot. Dump point and potable water on site. One street back from main street of town.
Very quiet overnight. Great for a free camp.

Terrific spot for parking caravans day and night. Very close to the centre of fabulous Childers and all absolutely free of charge.
