Uniting Op Shop Delacombe

Took my elderly mother here this morning and extremely lovely, helpful staff. The store is so clean, neat and organised it's fantastic.

A little gem of a thrift shop. Very reasonably priced items. They have furniture, not a great deal but again reasonably priced. There is parking out the front. And donations can be taken to the back door.

One of the best op shops, very good quality clothing etc (some new) and a huge selection of books. Staff friendly.

Well set out, colour coded, price guide at the end of each isle. Good service

Not bad. A bit sparse with a small selection of vintage items.

Volunteer staff are friendly and helpful.
Do not like how the prices have sky-rocketed lately. Seriously a novel, *second hand, $7? I would rather buy new for a few dollars more.
And to price clothing by the label is so not fair to the needy. It is not a boutique , it is a second hand store for the purpose of helping the families who need the clothes. Maybe people who are donating the clothing should cut off the labels.
Seriously used to be a great oppe shop.

Whoever has been in charge of the refurb has not helped this op shop. Clothing sorted by colours/patterns is not for op shops. The store has tried to become very retail and lost its ‘op shop charm’. Minimal kids clothing and close to no toys. Unfortunately a lot is overpriced. I’ve walked out empty handed several times and no longer visit, such a shame!

I went into this opshop for the first time today with my mum and my little one and we had a look around .
I'm a single mum to my child and im doing my best .
Little one touched a necklace and pulled it of the rack and the hook on the necklace opened up but it could be fixed as when I left the store I actually fixed the necklace .
I was made to pay for this necklace which I did and I left the store .
I left the store feeling absolutely humiliated and embarrassed 😳 I have never left a shop as quick as I did .
I've never felt so embarrassed and ashamed .
I apologied about what my son had done and was told abruptly how he shouldn't have been touching things and that I'll still have to pay which I was doing the guy simply demanded it impatiently and kept repeating himself and like i had to transfer the money from my internet banking to my account to pay for necklace via eftpos.
He was tapping his fingers as I was transferring the money which only made me feel even more anxious than I already felt .
My mum who was going to buy a top and went ahead and put it back as she was discusted and no longer wanted to buy the shirt and will never be going back to that store she stated when we left .
My child is 3 years old that broke the necklace and has special needs .
I do not wish to ever go into that opshop again and my mum doesn't want to either .
If you have kids and go into this store I strongly advice that you don't as they don't have like kids in their store .

Well and truly over priced op shops are meant to help people not charge them more than a store you can go to big w or kmart and get it cheaper
