A Great Ocean View Motel

Was extremely overpriced at $347 for a double room. I guess you gotta make hay while the sun shines! But it was a long weekend. The room was clean and fresh. The TV wasn't working when we arrived, but the owner set up a replacement TV for our stay. Most places wouldn't be bothered for just one night! But the owner went above and beyond the call. Great Ocean views from the balcony. Would definitely recommend it to anyone, and we would stay again.👍

We booked a room with A Great Ocean View Motel. Unfortunately for us, my bike broke down & it had to be taken to a dealer for it to be rectified. Upon calling, I spoke with Genevieve & explained my situation. A credit was given for the room which I am very thankful for. The customer servise & understanding of the situation was excellent & we will definatly be rescheduling our visit. Thank you again, Genevieve.

I don't know why there are so many 1 star reviews. This hotel had a beautiful view, comfortable beds, clean bathroom, and decent internet. Sure, the front door was hard to close, and the balcony looked on the older side, but not nearly as bad as some of these reviews would have you think. Would come again!

Just arrived home after another amazing trip to a great ocean view motel. We have been over a dozen times and love it more each time. Amazing view, comfortable beds and couch. Shower nice pressure, clean, simple, fair price and short walk to main street. Love seeing the seals on rocks with binoculars from our room. We will be back shortly. We go away at least once a month and this always our first choice. The view is the best in apollo bay.

Great location. Super friendly owners. Comfy clean cozy rooms and it’s very affordable. Definitely highly recommended.

Literally a great ocean view, the lady I spoke with was lovely and I loved the location great for a quiet walk down to the beach.

exactly what my mum and i needed! we booked last minute and stayed 1 night, and we had no complaints! it was comfortable and clean, with excellent and friendly staff, and an extremely beautiful view, as advertised! With all the usual motel amenities, even including a little bottle of milk for our morning coffees! considering likely short staffing due to covid, we were extremely impressed! wifi worked great, and it was quiet and close enough to the beach to hear the waves! we'll be back soon!

For a budget hotel, this place was great. I stayed for two nights while I did some weekend hiking along the Great Ocean Walk, and it was the perfect place to come back to after a long day: clean cosy and quiet, and close to the pub!

The beds were comfy, and Genevieve was lovely at check-in. I often stay at hotels in this price range, and rarely are they this pleasant.

We stayed for one night and I'm really confused by the mixed reviews on here, because we loved it!

The owners were friendly and our room was great. Yes, it could do with a bit of an update, but it was.clean and comfortable, the shower was great, the bed was comfy. I think.maybe some people aren't considering price when they write reviews (you're not booking the Ritz)!

The place is a very short walk to the shops, bars, restaurants and the fishermen's co-op.

The best part was when you open the window at night you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach!

We will definitely stay here again!

Very lovely owner, a fantastic view over the ocean and the Room was clean an big with everything whst you need

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a spectacular view from the balcony. The only negative point was, they don’t have a microwave. We weren’t able to warm milk for our little one.

Best location with sea views. Wish they had more cups, dishes to eat dinner. Great owners and they are friendly. Will visit again

We had a good experience staying at the Great Ocean View Motel. The owners were friendly, room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfy enough and the view of the beach was great. Wifi was very slow, but overall it was a great place to stay!

Location is amazing, beautiful view over the bay, and private balcony, was quiet with only the sound of the ocean at night, which we loved. Staff were very helpful and made an undercover area available for my Harley. Rooms was a good size, and bathroom was clean and functional, facilities provided were great. Bed was very comfortable. About 600 mtrs walk back into town, which we liked, but a taxi service is available too.

Gorgeous views and so close to everything we wanted to do. Room was very comfortable and clean. Will be back.

Great little motel over looking the beach. The price was great it was clean and the owners were great very nice people. I will stay here again if I’m in Apollo Bay again.
