Savannah Shores

The Owners are amazing. Location couldn't be better! We arrived in August 2021 for the first time in Karumba. We were going to stay in our roof top camper but decided to find a unit. These little units are on the water and basically a 30 meter walk to the tavern. So we walked around back to ring office bell. No one there rang the phone number and a lovely lady answered the phone. She said she was at the tavern for lunch and would be over in 5 minutes. She arrived in 3 minutes and said I have 1 room left but had to walk to your own bathroom. Price was very reasonable and we said we would take it and she said here's the key, come see us later on this afternoon and fix us up then. And she said goodbye and back to the pub.

Very easy to deal with and great location as you get to have a few drinks when the sun goes down at the tavern and walk 30 metres back to the unit :) Clean & Friendly place. Love it and would go and stay there again when we do another trip.

Stayed 09/22. Great place if your on a motorbike. We parked our bikes right next to the room. Had a shared laundry. The place is a bit old but it was nice and clean and the owners were heaps friendly. Only about a 40m walk to the Sunset Tavern.

A superb, quiet place to stay with swimming pool just meters away from the sea, and about a hundred meters away from the Sunset Tavern up a dead end street. The friendly, helpful owners and staff go above and beyond the call of duty to make your stay there comfortable. Highly recommended!

Our cabin was spotlessly clean, the owners so welcoming and I couldn't fault a thing. It's also opposite the beach, so fantastic to watch a sunset over the ocean.

Comfy cabins and Scotty and Karen were super friendly and welcoming. The beach is right across the road and the pub with tasty food less than 2 mins walk. Recommended stay

We were 4 guys arriving in 2 light aircraft. It's a big problem when you fly into remote places as you don't have access to a vehicle. Karen and Scotty our hosts were absolutely fabulous, they collected us from the Airport and put us in Unit 9 for four nights. The Unit exceeded our expectations, it had 4 single beds, was really clean and tidy plus had all the coffee making and cooking gear to cook up a storm.
Outside our room was a large BBQ setting with a huge gas BBQ. One of our guys caught a few big fish right at the front door and I cooked up a chilli, coconut fish curry one night. Savannah Shores is only 50 metres from the Karumba Sunset Hotel and we spent most afternoons having a few beers before returning to our unit and soaking up the sun around the pool. There is a convenience takeaway store across the road so we had everything we needed. The Unit came with its own separate but private bathroom which was also, big, roomy and clean. We had access to a free washing machine with clothesline at rear of our Unit. I cannot rate this place high enough, both for great hosts, location, cleanliness and provision of cooking utensils etc. Karen even gave me a loan of glad wrap, pepper/salt grinder, oil and vinegar etc. Next time I'm in Karumba I know where I'll be staying.

Great location comfortable rooms, aircon was awesome. Great friendly staff , just a short walk to sunset tavern for dinner and a walk beside the ocean . Great stay

Clean, quiet and helpful staff. Very basic decor but little unit is fully equipped with everything a couple on the road needs.

Very clean ...Karen and scotty are brilliant hosts so friendly and welcoming...the view over the ocean is to die for ...we will be staying again for sure 😊😊😊😊

we try book here every time we go to Karumba, sometimes they are completely booked and they still try help no matter what. they are the nicest people you can meet and they keep the shores looking good. thank you guys, we appreciate you💯👍💯. gg
