Karumba Point Holiday & Tourist Park

We've been here 3 nights, in a powered site, the park itself is close to the beach. The pool is awesome, so clean and a great size to do laps. The amenities are old but clean. And the managers are super friendly too. We were planning on staying at a place up the road that was a couple of bucks cheaper, but compared to this place, it was well worth the extra $ to have a nice clean pool to swim in and trees with shade. The grounds are lovely too. Even though the area is quite dry (pre wet season) there are lots of really well established trees offering very welcome shade.

Had a great stay in Karumba Point Holiday Park. 4 nights. Amenities are very well kept. Great showers. Pool to cool off or kids to play in. Every staff member has a smile and Excellent to deal with. Can recommend the cooked prawns for sale are fantastic as well as the camp kitchen (we cooked local mud crab bought down the road). Fish cleaning station good too. It was a very nice change to be walking into the van off a concrete pad and not taking dirt and leaves into the van each time.
The only negative to our stay where nothing to do with the park. We arrived during neap tides so fishing off the bank was not great or easy and you need a boat to get out to fish. No hire boats available in town. Charter boats were reasonable full (late August) and full bags of blue salmon some days, a few mackerel if going right out in the gulf on a full day charter. Winds were also against us with days too rough to get out. Next time we will go with our boat.

We booked in for a 2 night stay on a powered site and we decided to extend our stay an extra night as the boys were enjoying the fishing and pool. The care takers were so friendly and helpful in every way and the sunset at the sunset tavern down the road was beautiful and worth watching.

Very friendly and helpful staff, not only at the reception, but also the maintenance men, who keep the amenities spotless and the ground in the caravan park nice and clean.
Road was sprayed with water several times a day, to keep the dust down. 👍
Great and clean camp kitchen and entertainment area.
The whole caravan park is well looked after. We couldn’t find anything wrong.

We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed every minute of it.

Loved our stay here, facility's were immaculate, great pool and camp kitchen. Staff really take pride in this property.
The roads were watered twice a day to keep the dust down, plenty of shady sites.

Oh my goodness this park was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Everyone made you feel so welcome. The bathrooms were a bit dated, but so clean and well maintained. The grounds were well cared for, they watered down the driveways to keep the dust down. Cannot fault this place definitely a top one for us. Thanks team, we cannot recommend highly enough.

Karumba Point Tourist Park was one of the best campgrounds we’ve stayed at! Staff were like friends! Sites were large and shady! Camp kitchen was excellent! Amenities were all excellent! And they even sold fresh prawns, barramundi and great wine!! Thanks for a very enjoyable stay!

Spent 4 nights at this wonderful park. Nice spacious sites with slab and room for our car. Amenities and grounds were very clean. Hosts were friendly and watered the roads to keep dust down. Highly recommend this park.

A great place to stay. Powered sites provide plenty of space and shade.

The 2 ladies in the office were very helpful - we needed a cabin due to a hitch in our plans and they were most accomodating, even walking over with us to check out the cabin. We enjoyed our stay. Not the greatest of problems but it is a 2.5 klm walk to and from the pub.

A wonderful place to see Karumba and surrounds. Did the Ferryman croc and sunset tour. Great value for money. Walking distance to the Sunset Tavern. Don't forget to buy the freshly cooked prawns. They are the best.

The managers and staff here are very friendly and love a good laugh. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Toilets are very clean and tidy as well as the whole park.
Even the the long-term residents are very nice giving us fresh filleted fish. Would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely loved staying here last month (Oct 2021) for a few days. The managers of the park were so lovely and helpful, letting us pitch our tent in the shadiest spot we could find, despite it not being the specific unpowered camping area. They had great information about what to do in the area and the amenities were great, including the well set out camp kitchen and the pool which has shade over it. I would stay here again for sure. The managers were so friendly, it felt like a home away from home.
Although it is not on the gulf, it is a short walk (15min) to it and nicer for being back from the water, as the proximity to salt water and sand at the coast makes it feel much stickier and humid than being back from it a bit.

Great park, great managers and workers, nothing's too much trouble, needed to borrow some tools, all good, cheap take away beer and wines.

Lovely caravan park. Lots of shade and very clean amenities. Friendly helpful staff.

My husband my daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. the pool was amazing in the hot weather. The park seems to be doing upgrades at the moment they are looking great.staff are friendly and not afraid to have a chat . It is a very tidy park,toilet blocks are very clean ,cabins are tidy and the kitchen had amazing food , all in all we will be staying here next time we come to karumba !! Oh and most of all this park is pet friendly

One of our best holidays so far!!! We were there to stay for two days but ended up staying for a week. The whole park was very well maintained and lots of trees there to sit and relax. The camp kitchen was simply "superb".
Conrad and Shona were great hosts and always tried to help. Kids had great fun in the pool and the park. The whole park, I felt like one family. Thank you, Chase, for teaching me how to cast the net.

We travelled to many places, but it was an incredible experience!!! Highly recommended.
