I recently had an incredible experience at The Rusty Spud in Ballarat. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and unique decor. The space is beautifully lit, making it perfect for snapping photos without the need for editing or filters.

As for the food, it was an absolute delight. The variety of spuds on offer cater to different tastes, and I found the option to switch to sweet potato for just a small extra cost to be a great touch.

The service at The Rusty Spud is truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was memorable, making me feel right at home. I was particularly impressed by their "Tight Tuesdays" deals, providing excellent value for money.

The portions were generous and left us feeling satisfied.

Overall, The Rusty Spud is an awesome eatery that deserves all the praise it receives. It's a must-visit spot in Ballarat, offering not just fantastic food but also a warm and welcoming ambiance. I can't wait to make it my regular dining spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed when you visit this place.

The Rusty Spud - Not only does it have a truly lovely atmosphere, vibe and Owner, but it also has the most delicious meals 😊 The "Base Model" was absolutely delicious and very filling! That and yes, a lovely Cappuccino, was perfect for a latish Lunch. So go and take a look and a taste, and I definitely will say that you will not be disappointed! 🤗 🥔 👍

The space and lighting here were absolutely amazing! So good that I don't even need to edit / filter my photos.

The food was a great balance of heavy and light, warm and cool. It was very filling though - me and my friends had a big breakfast before coming here for lunch, and the four of us could only manage to finish two of their spuds.

They have "Tight Tuesdays" deals - great bang for your buck - and you can change the potato out to sweet potato for just +$1 (I thought it read $7 because of the font but the lady kindly corrected me and made sure I wasn't scammed haha)

We got the Bacon is for Life spud and the Mexican one, but if we were more hungry we would have wanted to try the Italian Stallion as well!

Finally visited The Rusty Spud today after wanting to go for ages! Safe to say I'll definitely be back, the food is deliscious and prices are great! Not to mention the owners are so welcoming and absolutely lovely!
Only got take out today but would definitely come in for a meal, atmosphere is amazing!

Amazing brunch this morning at The Rusty Spud, Ballarat I had their Eggs Benedict spud for brunch with a milkshake and road-tested their delicious new Massaman Curry spud which I took to work for dinner. I highly recommend this place and I'm going to make it my regular. The food is to die for. The service is second to none and the atmosphere is great.

I have been going to the Rusty Spud since it opened many years ago. Martin and Tanya, the current owners have helped me with community service projects in Mental Health and are very community minded. They are a small business and they spend their money locally. The spuds and coffee and sweets are truly 5 star 🌟 🤩 and very reasonably priced. It's the old addage of think globally and act locally. Only by supporting small homegrown businesses can we truly have a thriving local community. These guys are doing it as well as anyone.

I ordered pulled pork and Italian stallion and like the pork more. The serving was huge and customer service is 10/10.

Awesome eatery! Very interesting decor and the staff are wonderful, they make you feel so welcome. Highly recommended, a must to visit when you are in Ballarat.

I was in Ballarat for two days, didn't really know what the food places good or not, but I picked a fantastic place for my nightly meal, as I was in the Motel just around the corner, I have to say I was served by a Super friendly young lady, generous food in a great relaxing setting. I definitely will be back whenever I visit Ballarat again.

A 'baked potato bar' with its rustic decor - such a pleasant surprise when we walked in - exceeded expectations both with the unique interior as well as the delicious generous servings. Definitely will bring the family along next time to indulge in some hearty comfort food. Very reasonably priced I'll add.

We stopped by here during a school holidays trip to Ballarat.

The portions are generous and the produce used are of high quality. Prices are very fair for what you get. Service is friendly and the lady serving us went out of her way to make the children feel welcomed.

There is a kids' area to keep them entertained as you wait for your order for to be prepared.

Love the rustic setting, warm and toasty with the fireplace going in the background. Most importantly the service is 5 star; friendly and welcoming and the spuds… omg, delicious! Generous helpings, so tasty. For the love of bacon is my favourite! Yum! Warms the soul! Healthy and hearty! Highly recommend! Well worth the visit! You will not be disappointed!
