saw it while on the bus. beautiful arch with a meaningful history. garden of the grieving mother beside it was a somber touch too. the inscription was very touching and reminiscent of the sacrifices the common people have made for war and power.

A stunning yet somber memorial sight. Approach the arch from Sturt St outbound and you'll pass right under it. Inbound does not. To view info regarding the arch and Avenue of Honor turn left before Arch into Learmonth St then 1st right to parking area. As well as Arch views there's the Memorial Rotunda and garden of the Grieving Mother.

A stunning archway that sits beautifully above the main road. Surrounded by lines of trees and statues. Only takes a quick visit as there isn’t much there but it’s amazing to just look at. A memorial for the fallen soldiers and the grieving mothers.

Another Ballarat must see. Instead of just driving through, stop, park and take the time to appreciate and respect this monument. Imposing Arch surrounded by memorials, lest we forget.

Arch of Victory commemorates the people of Ballarat who served in the first world war and remembers their service to the nation. The Avenue has around 3901 trees planted in the honour in those served in the war.

Beautiful surroundings and grand Arch that stands out so majestically, honouring all the soldiers and trees planted for them.

This is a magnificent memorial to both those who served in conflict and those who didn 't return. The new reflection garden and its tribute to the "greiving mother" is heart wrenching. Make sure you visit the memorial wall 30 metres to the south near the reflection garden. Hats off to the memorial custodians who do a magnificent job maintaining the site and also ensuring history and sacrifice is not forgotten.

We all should stop and look .read and learn it might be history ...but these families lost all there young sons in war to protect our customs values culture and democracy and way of life never forget the sacrifice that made ..now our government have sold our country to communist China with out a blink of a eye lid .they say back and allowed communist China to win the trade war against our nation allowed them to manipulate our economy for there advantage now we have a elected liberal government who governs for foreign corporation and foreigners interests only and no longer governs for Australians ...what a waste of lives for what ? So communist China can buy our country up.
Our politicians should hang there heads in shame

Archview café next to this wonderful monument was to die for. The food is all made insight and can feed ANYONE with flavoursome meals. Shame though. It should open at night.

Beautifully restored tribute to our service men and women. The garden of the grieving widow is a touching and heartfelt reminder of what we lose when we go to war.
