Dôme Café - Elizabeth Mall

We were walking around looking for somewhere to eat lunch and came across the Dome Cafe. We ordered the share platter and honestly didn't expect it to be any good... Boy were our expectations blown out of the water.

We ordered the squid, meatballs, and chicken tenders with a side of wedges and everything was great! The squid was tasty and worked really well with the lime aioli. The meatballs were moist and paired with the tomato chutney. The chicken tenders had a slight taste of cinnamon and it was amazing, who knew chicken and cinnamon worked well together? Everything was cooked perfectly, the wedges were nice and crunchy without being burnt.

Over all, a great lunch, thank you!

Rating for the coffee and service, which we found both spot on! Coffee (decaf) was great and good ice lattes, while also providing a high level of service! Lots of comfortable seating and newspapers to read

Surprised with the low rating! Very tasty coffee and nice staff. Maybe a little more expensive than others but the seatings are great, music is classic, great decoration, chesterfield sofas, and very comfortable.

I really like this cafe! Because the service is pretty good!!! The waiter is very friendly!!! Also the taste of coffee and food is good too!!!

Excellent service 😊 Warm atmosphere and good food! If you are looking for a place to relax and tone down your busy day, there's plenty of room, warm lighting and the staff are lovely. 5/5! All day breakfast items all the time, and serving a variety of small and large portions.

Just perfect for families, Dome was recommended to me for taking my small children and I was glad! A bit of a franchise-y feel to it (like Hudsons) and Hipsters probably wouldn't like it (too mainstream maybe?) but the menu is full of tasty and accessible options, a wonderful children's menu, colouring in pencils provided to keep the little ones happy (so not a noisy place) great friendly atmosphere,efficient friendly service- (there was a mis-communication about salads which was rectified in minutes) decent coffee, an oasis in the CBD. Would happily return time and time again. Parent friendly so you get a proper cafe instead of a nasty fast food restaurant!

Reminds me of Central Perk from friends.
If you want solid breakfast. This is definitely a great choice. Favorite place to get breakfast in hobart. Food is amazing, staff are friendly and the whole place has a traditional sophisticated vibe.

The owner (I think) informed us that they were short staffed due to recent flooding and were closing in 10 minutes. Nevertheless, they insisted on taking our order and gave us great service. Much appreciated.

Absolutely great . Excellent food and friendly staff. Great place for a meal or just a quick stop for coffee, can't go passed Dome.

Now i have heard loads of places claim to have the best coffee in the world, and i reckon most of the ones i've tried wouldnt know what good coffee was.. i certainly would not put this place in that category though. These people take coffee seriously and the delivery of that intent was obvious. Truly really good coffee expertly baristered

Fantastic menu and great staff, I highly recommend "Dome Cafe" Hobart, to take time & drop in, absorb the Old World Charm, read the paper or magazine, catch up with friends, enjoy a delicious meal, including a good selection of hot & cold drinks.

9/10 would recommend, don't like the tomato relish tho, However other than that it's the best spot to get a avacado on toast

One of my favorite places to eat breakfast, always walk out feeling satisfied, so much variety and customer service is exceptional
