Good cafe to hang with friends. Warm ambience and super friendly staff 🧡

The food and the coffee was decent. It’s quite busy in brunch time but the service was pretty quick. I was having fun with my ginger brown man by the way!

Service was quick and efficient, food was amazingly good, my friend and I both really enjoyed our dishes, I had the breakfast tacos and she got one of the specials (chicken, bacon waffles). There was a young family in with a baby and they let her play with their keys the whole time so it was not very considerate of others dining.

Hipster coffee shop in the heart of South Hobart. Delicious food and lovely service, coffee is great too.

Also, for black coffee drinkers, best coffee. We asked for a strong long black and they provided it, in spades.

My favourite cafe in Hobart. I am a grumpy person when it comes to food. I really love here. So delicious food. Service is friendly but professional. I'm GF, egg-free, vegetarian. There are healthy options for me in Ginger Brown that I can't find somewhere else in Hobart. Absolutely my #1 Cafe..Coffee is little bit strong for me-but my husband loves it. Juices and other warm drinks options are good, too.
The only thing I can recommend to the owner would be something like a water fountain that would soften the atmosphere sound wise( it might get so noisy). Some soft jazz/classical music maybe..

We had breakfast here three mornings in a row while staying in Hobart. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious and original.

Highly recommend! Can get busy, so book in advance for bigger groups!

I got the house beans ( pic below) the portions was absolutely amazing & the textures were amazing...was nutty & veggies with 2 nice slices of bread & traditional beans.

ordered a flat white too it was good strong.

This is a hugely popular place and getting a seat even on a wet and cold Monday morning is not easy. The staff were friendly and my simple request for coffee and a biscuit was met with a smile although nearly everyone around me was having breakfast. Thank you for making me welcome ☕🍪

Visited again and once again did a fantastic job of the food. The savoury pancake was the best I have ever had.

Food was amazing, I had pork belly bowl, I have to say I was really impressed by how well this dish was done, pork belly cooked to perfection with crispy skin, brown rice was just beautifully done, not sure how they cooked it, the rice was soft and had a layer of crunchiness with it, as an Asian I rarely tasted riced cooked to this level
even in Asian countries. Definitely recommend!

Amazing little cafe with fantastic coffee. It even came with a Jaffa on the spoon! (Orange chocolate) Difficult to choose which sweet bakery treat so I decided one of each. Savory muffin & caramel slice (recommended by the amazing girls working) were tasty.

Lovely little Cafe. I take the kids for a hot chocolate before school on Fridays (theoretically as a reward for them getting out of the house on time all week! In reality I quite enjoy it, so we sometimes bend the rules 😏). I haven't tried the food but it looks good.

Stopped in for breakfast before heading off to the airport, the staff were wonderful -helpful, friendly, and personable! The food was scrumptious and the coffee was delectable 👌 I recommend a visit if you're adventurous with your tastes or enjoy Japanese fusion 🥰

I ordered recently a delicious garlic mushroom omelette. So flipping good.

Clearly a south Hobart institution, and for extremely good reason. In spite of being heavingly busy on a Monday morning and there being a little wait, I was quickly shown to a seat and enjoyed soaking up the buzzy atmosphere. Service was friendly and very professional, food excellent (I had the house beans 😋), and the coffee was seriously the best I’ve had in Australia. Would highly recommend. 🌱🙏

Visted this cafe for lunch after a visit to the Historic Female Factory. Food was delicious! Each one of us ordered a different meal and there were no complaints with any of them. Fresh ingredients used and the presentation was superb.
We all had pressed fruit juices which were delicious too. Very busy little cafe but we had no wait for a table.

Perfect place for brunch with lovely local cafe. Casual place with serious plates. All the menus are very well balanced with fresh vegetables. Special menus are great options.

Very busy walked in and sat on stools not long after ordering was offered a table in comfy chair to sit at on my own, very impressed.

They get very busy at times. But it’s worth the wait. Lovely service! The food is well portioned, reasonably priced, interestingly flavored, and beautifully presented. We left very happy and satisfied each time. Will definitely come back and try different dishes.

great location, easy for parking. Food was all good, staff was lovely. Having a wonderful brunch experience on Saturday’s morning. Recommend!

This cafe has nice vegan and gluten free options. We had the crumpets and a cookie that were delicious. The coffees are well done.
