Hamlet Hobart Cafe

Hamlet is right at the entrance of the beautiful rivulet track. Their coffee is really good! I ordered an oat latte. There are a lot of seating options inside and outside. People here are always so warm and inviting ❤

A great cafe with the social mission of giving employment and training to those underrepresented in the workforce.

We came twice on our visit to Hobart, once sit down and once takeaway. There's a fireplace in winter, the coffee and food were good and the staff is very lovely.

Time can vary for sit down service, so relax and enjoy!

As a first time visitor to the Apple Isle, I stumbled across this wonderful establishment, quite by chance, on my usual orientation ramble, whenever I visit somewhere new.
I neither knew what or why, this establishment was about, but I needed a coffee, after dragging myself up and out of the city and, as soon as I walked in, felt a calm vibe, so decided to stay for brunch.
The staff here, are 'truly' friendly, attentive and diligent.
I tried fried eggs on curried sourdough toast, ( it had a far more attractive title, which escapes me) which was both amazing and filling.
I 'cottoned on,' after noticing a sign on the wall, explaining what 'Hamlet' was about.
When I offered a donation, I was offered genuine surprise and appreciation.
I encourage anyone chasing a decent coffee and something to sedate the hungry beast, to step inside 'Hamlet,' and, help make a difference.

Staff were so lovely and the food and coffee was amazing. A few people recommended Hamlet to us while we were visiting Hobart and I’m so glad we went.

This place is just beautiful- community works. It really does take a village. Not to mention, delicious coffee, and great sandwiches. I’ll definitely come back before I leave Hobart.

A place close to its community, welcoming and cosy. Small menu with offering fresh and delicious. The batch brew was almost as good as a hand poured coffee.

Delightful cafe with friendly staff, great coffee, rich & creamy hot chocolate and delicious food. Try the galette - incredible.

Outstanding food, I had the eggplant schnitzel with the side salad. Salad was mouthwatering, really fresh and the tomatoes and cucumbers were devine, schnitzel was so flavourful (I'm vego and that was a great veg meal). Both friends from interstate had the lamb pita/open souvlaki and they were so happy, very very tasty apparently. Great vibes inside too, and the two people who served us were beautiful, pleasant place to be.

Delicious wholesome food in a beautiful location at the start of the linear rivulet park. Very progressive too providing training in hospitality for young people. My favourite is the Buddha Bowl which has become a signature dish I think

The food and the forever changing menu makes you want to come back for more. The food is always spot on, I don't think I've had a dish where I have been disappointed. Its got great vibes and doing some awesome community service by training and giving disadvantaged people a sense of belonging. I just love what they are doing.

This is my favourite Hobart cafe. The social enterprise focus is really an attraction, when you know that unemployed people are serving you. Everything has a friendly vibe. Great decor on the inside and with the Hobart Rivulet Linear Corridor Park just outside it is both an attractive urban space whilst also offering nature close by. The staff are amazing. This is where I go for my post run Saturday breakfast.

I had a 2 hour business breakfast at Hamlet in front of a cosy fire yesterday. I enjoyed a delicious omelette, cappuccino in a gorgeous clay cup followed by brewed oatmeal chai. All done to perfect and the staff including the trainees were lovely and professional. Highly recommend.

Amazing place that is my new local. Great food and service along with an amazing training venue that is exceptionally well run. I will continue to support this place as it's a fabulous place.

Came in with the wife for a quick lunch and had a great experience. Great food, great service from Miranda and friendly staff all round. Will definitely be coming back.
