Blue Strawberry Take Away

We ate here while visiting Tasmania and staying in Sandy Bay. It is worth a flight to Hobart just to have fish and chips here with crumbed prawns and a glass of Barossa white.

Some of if not the best hot chips available in Hobart (crinkle cut - the best kind), staff were friendly and quick to serve, big variety of drinks, food and snacks and on the verge of popular nut grove beach a handy find for those in need of refreshments, well done :)

Word on the beach was that this is was the best burger in Hobart. I've eaten a lotta burgers in my life, travelled the world in search of the perfect burger. I wasn't planning on buying a burger at 10:30am last week, (as a professional I prefer my burgers in the PM), but after hearing the beach gossip I couldn't say no.

The Blue Strawberry door was opened by a friendly face and the service was fast. After parting with a small amount of money, I unwrapped my perfectly packed BIG burger. I sat on the ledge at Nutgrove Beach, looking out over the sand and calm water. I inhaled a deep breath of the cool salty air and took a bite of the most delicious and unpretentious burger of my life.

I'm from Los Angeles and have been to a few burger places in Hobart, but the burger at the blue strawberry was incredible. Best burger I've had in Australia. A hidden Hobart gem with a good name.

Burger with the lot is the best, don't believe me? Try both the blue strawberry burger with the lot and compare it with the hungry jacks aussie burger. Blue strawberry wins hands down.

Best service, it was great and friendly from Hassian (sorry if spelt wrong) - also a good spot for your average takeaway food.

John and Maria are very courteous and the food is warm and enjoyable. Try the new coffee you will be surprised how good it is.
