Smitten Merino

I am obsessed with this place. I have been searching all over for flattering merino wool clothes in the U.S. and couldn't quite find what I was looking for until I found Smitten Online! I have done 2 orders with them now and everything has been so beautiful and flattering.

I wasn't quite sure on my size at first so had to do a few returns on the first order but the staff at Merino were super helpful. Full disclosure, returning from U.S. to Australia was confusing at first and you will have to pay postage, but with their VIP discounts and March free gift it totally paid for my shipping. I also used parcel monkey instead of UPS and paid ~$125 instead of $375 usd.

If unsure can always size up and have items altered. Highly highly recommend this place overall though and love that it is a family owned business!

I bought the Holly dress in cornflower blue😀 beautifully sewn, and I bought size 10 Australian, my dimensions are 36 inch bust, 29 inch waist and 40 inch hips. It fits well and skims the hips .I also bought the poncho to match and it flows so well when I walk. so many compliments. Great communication with the seller, and I appreciate the videos that Holly does when she speaks about their wool garments. It is very helpful to see them in action on the body. The quality is just excellent. I’m pretty sure that these will last for a very long time. I’m looking forward to buying the Asha and the Mary Ann dresses 👗 in the coming months. my plan is to layer them with my ponchos and my long sleeve wool sweaters. That way I don’t have to wash them as often and I probably will get more time out of them.
It really is an investment because they last so long. Just make sure you get some cedar blocks so the bugs don’t eat your garment. This has really helped me save my wardrobe!

Just discovered this beautiful brand and am now totally Smitten! I love my rosewood scarf. Gorgeous colour, great size and first class quality. Have a long list of tops and accessories I now want from them.

Loving walking around like a warm fuzzy cloud in my new fleece leggings and scoop neck long sleeve top from Smitten Merino. I suppose I could be happier if only I'd bought two pairs! The leggings are incredibly warm and comfortable, perfect for chilly winter days. The top is cozy and soft, with a flattering fit that looks great on. I was pleased to find that the sizing was true to size. The videos online were exceptionally helpful when trying to decide what piece was for me. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of Smitten Merino's line and am looking forward to splashing out for some more soon.

Good quality clothing. I purchased a 170 gram zip top for cycling and it does the job easily. The thumb holes at the end of the sleeves cover the back of my hands keeping the sun off in the summer and they add extra warmth under my gloves in the winter. I live in a semi-arid region 600 kilometres north of Adelaide where the weather is mostly fine, but we do experience some cool weather during winter so I use my cycling top as a singlet and once again it does the job easily. I hang it on the clothes line after I finish using it to air it out. It doesn't need to be washed every time I use it. I found Smitten Merino easy to deal with, they gave me plenty of information about how to care for the garment and supplied the garment in a zippered bag so I didn't have to worry about silverfish eating holes in it while it's hanging in the wardrobe.

I'm now on to my 7th or 8th Smitten Garment over the last few years I've purchased one or two at a time as they're not cheap. But I've noticed that the items I wear are so comfortable and versatile that I need fewer clothes and they last 10 x longer. I love that my wardrobe fits, works, is comfortable and exceptional quality. The team @ Smitten have worked with me and provided outstanding customer service during which I've found which dresses and tops are most flattering for my shape. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Love to wear your products, my wife looks stunning in her black wrap dress designed and made by smitten, it is simply sophisticated in every setting. As fellow craftspeople we love what you do.

Wonderful products in pure merino, breathable, soft and light. Service is very nice and responsive, perfect advice on sizing.
Shipping to Europe was 2 weeks, but worth waiting for it. We have only mixed textiles in Europe which is a shame and incomparable to pure merinos.

I bought 3 Pairs wool leggings. I’ve been through so many over the years, including expensive brands but there are by far the best : they are good European fit (I especially like the high-waisted ones, amazing!) All the fabrics are good quality and soft and warm, they are extremely well made (good seams and no scratchy thread) . It’s an easy website to navigate, It was quick to order, shipping was fast and courteous correspondence. I went back to get some kids animal hats (cute) and I’ll be regular customer happy to support a Tasmanian business.

First purchase from your company and I’m very impressed. My beautiful merino jumper has exceeded expectations. It’s so cozy and the design is timeless. I will shop with you again. It also feels great to support Australian made clothing.

Just received my 210 leggings, fleece lounge pants and fleece lined leggings. So comfortable and warm, particularly when working from home. I can't wait to take them camping next month where I will be snuggly and warm. Thanks to Doug for taking the time to explain the different leggings and pants for camping, it made the decision making much easier. I brought my first item in 2020 and have since changed my whole wardrobe. The breathability and comfort of the fabric which is beautifully and elegantly designed make Smitten products ideal for any occasion. My favourite dresses are Zoe, Mary, Maryanne and Flo, whether Ponte or jersey versions. I am truly a Smitten devotee. The staff give fabulous advice, thanks Alice!!!. The best quality clothes anyone can ever hope for. Sure, they are not Kmart or Target cheap, but boy the value you will attain from these is priceless. Merino wool is the best fabric in the world - it doesn't smell, it's healthy, anti allergenic, temperature regulating, etc! They also last forever if taken care of properly. Instead of buying 5 different shirts/dresses, have a couple of styles from Smitten and you will realise a couple of shirts or dresses is all you need for everyday wear.

Plus, it is Australian made. Got to love supporting Aussies - especially when the world's best quality material in the clothes is right at our doorstep. Goodbye cotton! (p.s. merino wool is PERFECT in both winter and summer, it is a common misconception that it makes you overheat. In fact, cotton actually makes you OVERHEAT in winter and SWEAT more in summer)

What a wonderful small business! Website is easy to navigate, free express shipping, great selection. That's not even mentioning the actual products - merino is such a versatile material! It's for people like me who seems to have trouble regulating their own body temperature. I bought a basic cardigan and I am so thrilled with it, it just makes me feel COMFORTABLE. Not to mention ethically and sustainably made.. cannot fault you guys, a new favourite retailer of mine!! Xx

Great product. Whilst the products appear more expensive they are great value and I love seeing Aussie products. The customer service is excellent. I recieved a product with defects and email photo's to customer service. They answered within 24 hours and sent out a replacement product within the week. I love the cardigan and have worn it every day since. I would definately buy again from Smitten.

Love visiting Smitten, in Sandy Bay. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and the clothing is a delight! Love my new dress, ( Mary dress) which was so good to travel in when I recently did a longish flight - so comfortable and relaxed. Soo, of course, I went back and bought a stylish jumper too. Superb Quality .. I brought a Smitten merino turtle neck for use as a base layer under my work shirt on the mine site duringthe COLD winter days... works PERFECT ... feels AMAZING .. buying AUSTRALIAN made from an AUSTRALIAN owned business.. dose not get much more Auzzie than that . I LOVE IT
