I had the chicken bento and a ramen. The tempura was so light and crispy and the rest of the bento tops. Would have again. Service efficient and friendly. The seating and lighting was comfortable also

Very impressed with the quality of food here. Udon is brilliant, typical Bento menu is very high standard, with a few unique twists. Eat in restaurant is nice, also choose from 2 Japanese vending machines for some authentic drinks. Sadly they need to refill these more frequently as some popular drinks are often out of stock.

New Japanese cuisine located in the center of Sandy bay just open with a fashionable and cozy atmosphere. Sushi is good and the classic black pork ramen soup tastes delicious. Staff are helpful and friendly. They serve many diverse drink options and also provide free self service water station including sparkling water.

Good food at great prices and big serving size. Nice atmosphere as well. Gets pretty busy at lunch time.

Yummy ramen well made and good value for 15 dollars filling meal. Lovely staff.

We ordered triyaki chicken with rice and dinner bento box, everything was delicious and we enjoyed it a lot!!!!

This restaurant is a go-to place whenever my friends and I are in the area and craving some good Japanese food. The food has always been great, and the food price/portion ratio is pretty good. The interior design/aesthetic and ambience of the place is cool and modern. Bento Sandy Bay is centrally located and hard to miss. I recommend this place.

The yuzu chicken ramen was great! A light broth and definitely can taste the yuzu.

Usually order sushi here, tastes good and price reasonable, over all needs back.

Excellently priced and tasty Japanese food. We have come back about 8 times although we no longer live nearby. The choose your own option is recommended.

We come here often because there is a varied menu of well prepared dishes to meet your mood and hunger levels. We love the atmosphere - the 80s decor (is it?) and the polite, competent workers who get to know you and welcome you back. High turn over, and not too busy, so you can always get a good place to sit.

Donburi and Bento box taste good. Lots of meat, definitely worth the price. Discounted sushi after 8ish isn't bad as well. Most staff members are very friendly. Go there at least once a week.

Our family came here once on our second night in Tasmania for dinner and had to come back around a second time for lunch because it was just so good! We had the classic ramen, classic black ramen, beef udon, custom dinner box, eel donburi, fried chicken curry, eel roll, salmon sashimi, salmon aburi, jellyfish salad, and more assorted sushi. It was absolutely amazing! The flavours perfect and the presentation was beautiful, at a very reasonable price point. The ramen noodles were made fresh at a small station at the back of the restaurant too! It was hard to believe that there was so much Japanese variety, yet all done so well. The only downside was that their onsen eggs were sold out both times we went, and the service was a little slow on the Friday night, but apart from that, we cannot fault anything else. We highly recommend everything on the menu and the staff were so friendly and accomodating both times. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the decor is very picturesque. We would most definitely come back again and again! Please make an effort to visit here at least once! So worth it :)

A great restaurant with respectful workers, including one in particular, whom I believe is the head chef, who dresses very suavely. However, the only flaw is the severe lack of diversity in the workplace...

Really good customer service - even if busy with something else the staff called out to greet me immediately on entry and they anticipated my needs giving me clear friendly directions and explaining everything. Delicious food.
